I had a Scofield Bible when I was in college. (It was the epitome of Christian dispensational theology!). I found Dr. Scofield's notes interesting. This is a newer Scofield Bible. It's the New International Version, with a concordance (which I didn't have in my earlier, hardback edition). Having the Bible text with concordance is very helpful for study.

I bought this for a friend. After receiving it, however, I had to take a look first to see if this was indeed what I had wanted to purchase. What a beautiful Bible. I loved the whole thing. Binding, paper, layout and study notes. Because this wasn't purchased for me, I gave it to the intended party who already had this Bible, so I had to return it and get something else to replace it.
