Apparently they have decreased the size of Scooby's head for 2009. The head is a little smaller and no longer has the whisker dots. If you look for other images of this item, it no longer looks like the picture with the child looking to the side with his hands down. The 2009 model for this costume has his hands on his hips and is looking at the camera.

Do not expect the size numbering system does not match the age of the child. For example, the tags for the Toddler 2-4T state "for 1-2 years" - way too small for a 3 to 4-year-old (and in my experience, it WAS too small). The size "small" is for a 3-year-old or smaller 4-year-old.

The costume is very nice, as others have noted.

Costume is very well made and will last through many days of playing "Scooby Dooby Doo". Size is close to childrens clothing, might want to go one size up if child fits into clothing perfectly. Would definately purchase other costumes from this maker/seller again.

The costume was great. He looked so cute. I will not hesitate to order a costume from Amazon in the future.

My 5 yr old grandson had outgrown his favorite costume, a Scooby Doo from last year, size Small kids.
So I ordered a new one in Medium (they said 8-10). When it arrived the package said Medium 5-7. And it is TOO small, he's not an unusually large 5 yr old, wears size 5-6 usually.

This isn't much bigger than the Small from last year and he is so disappointed. He's very unhappy that I have to return it, but even worse, the quality has gone down hill. Lighter weight fabric, he even noticed that the SD "tag" is flimsy compared with his old one. Price is a little higher than last year, too.

And NO ONE has a Large kids anywhere on line - I've spent the last 30 minutes searching and searching. I have a sad 5 yr old Scooby-lover on my hands!
So, I'm going to return it with no replacement coming.

The costume we received in the mail was not the same costume pictured online. Called the company and the picture online was not updated to what the manufacturer supplied the company with. The manufacturer must have switched this scooby costume (with the cuter head) with another scooby costume that is seen much cheaper elsewhere on the internet. The company "Costume Craze"'s customer service was excellent at handling this situation and took care of us. Costume Craze had very friendly customer service and I would buy through them again.

What a great buy! It was about $15 cheaper with this company than others I looked at . The costume is made very well. It will serve both as a costume and for dress-up afterwards.

Don't hesitate to purchase!

I love this costume...the quality is EXCELLENT. You definitely get what you pay for; the feet of the costume even fit perfectly over my little girl's shoes! She really looked like Scooby from head to toe...high quality merchandise that I did NOT mind paying extra for.

I was very disappointed in this item. It is absolutely not what is advertised in the picture. Not only does it NOT look like scooby-doo, it is very cheaply made. The sizes run extremely small. I ordered a size 4-6 and my 4 year old that wears 4t pants and 5t shirts, he tried it on and it looked like a 3T rather than a 4-6. I was not impressed by any part of this item. I did receive a refund, however the $12.44 that I had to pay to ship it back, was not refunded. So because they falsely advertised this item, I am out $12.44. It shouldn't have cost me anything, considering the sizes were way off and the item was not even close to what the picture is showing. I can't believe these company's are able to use a picture that isn't what they are selling. They should have to take a picture of the exact item, instead of use a picture of what they tried sew up themselves. It honestly looked like someone pulled out their sewing machine from home and used a cheap, very thin, fleece semi-look alike material and some felt and attempted to make a scooby-doo costume. Scooby had not chin or mouth and under the nose there was pieces of thread coming loose where someone stuffed the head and hand sewed it shut. The poor scooby head looked like a rat or a daschund (except daschund's are cuter.)

I looked everywhere for a Scooby Doo Costume for my Granddaughter, she loves Scooby Doo! She is 3 1/2 years old and I found this one after reading the reviews. For a Halloween Costume it is made pretty well. It is 1 piece and the sizing is what it says too. I had another one that I had purchased (not from here) and it said for a 3-4 toddler but when she put it on it was more like for a 18 month old she was so sad but then she said Gwamma order one on the computer so I did! This one is exactly as it says. I purchased the child small and it fits her great with a little room to spare. She is 32 pounds and is 39 1/4 inches tall. We received it 2 days after I had ordered it too. Hope this helps you out. It is hard to order something without knowing the true size. I measured as they said to do and they were right! Gotta Love Scooby Doo. I posted 2 pictures for you to see how it fit. She had to wear at on my Birthday!!

I followed the reviews and got size kids medium for my 5 year old son. It's too big but will last longer this way.
My son loves it, it is very "genuine" and cute, good quality.
It shipped very fast also.
