Product Description

From Children's Software Revue® -- "Subscribe Now!"

Velma's cousin Thelma is lost in the Egyptian pyramids of Giza, and Scooby and the gang must use their sleuthing skills to find her. Children are provided with info by each of the town's inhabitants, but only after they've helped out in scavenger hunt-style tasks. They play a rug concentration game, match tunes played on bottles, solve puzzles, find missing objects, and collect Scooby snacks, all in an effort to uncover clues and suspects. Kids can set up to three scariness levels, and after the culprit is found, there's a new villain to uncover. The transitions can be slow, with excessive talking by the characters, but these can be interrupted using the ESC key. The logic puzzles were weaker than those in the other Scooby games. All things considered, however, this is another entertaining Scooby adventure, that the kids will enjoy.

4.0 out of 5 stars My 4 year-old loves it!, September 7, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Scooby-Doo: Jinx at the Sphinx (CD-ROM)
I purchased this game a couple of weeks ago for my daughter, who is almost five, and she loves playing it. It has different levels of difficulty and she is ecstatic that she has been able to solve the first level mystery so far. She needs a little bit of help with the reading parts, but she loves the matching games and the ones for scoring scooby snacks. She often plays with her Dad and they enjoy trying to solve the mysteries together. The only negative with the game is that the animation is a little jerky; but, at her age, she doesn't seem to mind.

I bought this game for my daughter when she was six years old. She's seven now and still loves it and the other Scooby games! She especially enjoys the carpet matching game and the machine in the pizza place. I had to help her some with the math game at first, but now she is really beginning to understanding fractions!

5.0 out of 5 stars Love it!, November 16, 2002
This review is from: Scooby-Doo: Jinx at the Sphinx (CD-ROM)
I got this game for my granddaughter who is almost 4 and a real Scooby Doo freak! She loves it even thought some of it is beyond her understanding. Even at her level she can play with it and be totally entertained for a long time. She loves the graphics and action.
