this book is wonderfully entertaining - both my 7 & 4 year old kids LOVE to flip through and read it - they pick up the Scooby series books more than other picture/story book at home. Even during reading assignments my 7 year old doesn't hesitate with this book! The only downside is some of the Western slang used ( you know- "y'all", and "par'dner") - which can be challenging for 2nd grade. But I thoroughly recommend this book -( we have the Creepy Chef also, which is also lots of fun.
