A great addition for Scooby Doo fans and children!,

This review is from: Scooby-Doo and Santa's Bake Shop: A Scratch-N-Sniff Christmas Story (Cartoon Network Scooby-Doo) (Paperback)
Scooby Doo and his friends are invited by Santa Clause to the North Pole where they are told of Santa's missing sack of presents. Of course, the gang sents out to find the missing sack, where all clues lead to Santa's Bake shop, a very tempting bakery for all who love sweets. In the end, the story does a good job convincing kids that too much candy can get the better of you! My 4 1/2 year old, who is big on sweets, loves this book and its attractive scratch and sniff stickers which keeps kids involved throughout the story. I highly recommend this one!

Stickers don't fit,

My daughter loves the book, she is a huge scooby-doo fan, but it wasn't quite what I expected. The scratch and sniff stickers you have to apply yourself. Although my daughter enjoyed sticking them everywhere, there wasn't always a spot for them. They are too big for a lot of the places they are supposed to go and they end up either hanging off the page or blocking part of the characters.
I think the stickers urk me more than they do her. She doesn't seem to mind at all (She is 3 years old) and has no problem sticking a chocolate cake sticker up in a tree on a totally different page and she doesn't care that the candycane sticker hangs out of the book. The story is cute - but the stickers are annoying

Although the book is very cute - you have to put your own stickers in the book...which wouldn't be difficult IF the stickers matched the pictures or had a shape that matched to put the sticker on. Rarely did the pictures even match so I went through the book several times trying to find where I should put the stickers. On 3 occasions the stickers were too big for the spot so you either put it on correctly and let it hang over the side of the page or you put it on the page and it didn't line up to the picture. One sticker was so big it covered Shaggy and Scooby's entire faces. The story didn't even match the stickers in one place. It talked about following footprints yet the stickers were handprints!! The only thing I liked were the intense smells but even those were limited. The majority of the stickers (15) were chocolate. Being about a candy shop you'd assume they would have a huge variety of smells but they had only about 5 total. There were 2 full pages of stickers so you'd think they'd have at least 1 cool different smell per page. There were even stickers left over so I just put them in the book for fun because they had no purpose...they weren't even replacement stickers - they were just there. I was very dissapointed with this book.

This book is a good Scooby Doo Christmas book. However, the scratch and sniff wasn't too impressive. My son enjoyed placing the stickers.

Even though I had to try twice to get one with stickers in it , it proved to be very enjoyable by the child.... Double check the contents of the book.

My 5 year son received this book from "our Christmas elf" and really enjoyed it. It has a cute, short Christmas mystery but the real enjoyment was the scratch 'n sniff stickers.

scratch and sniff, sticker fun, AND a scooby mystery? It's 3 times the fun!,

What a great idea for a fun holiday story.
It's the day before Christmas and Scooby and the Gang are invited to the North Pole. But when they arrive, they find themselves smack in the middle of a mystery (funny how that always seems to happen...). Someone has stolen Santa's sack of Christmas toys. Can the Mystery Inc gang follow the clues and find Santa's sack in time to give out presents to all the kids? The gang follows the trail of tasty clues through Santa's candy shop as they hunt for the missing sack. The illustrations are bright and colorful. Every couple of pages there is a red text box that instructs you to look for a sticker to match to the picture on the page. Then scratch the sticker to sniff the sweet smelling candy scents. The pictures are on a separate 2 page pull out section in the middle of the book. We found that if you remove the 2 sticker pages, you'll have the stickers handy without having to flip back and forth in the story. We had no trouble finding the right stickers and matching them to where they belong on the page. As some other reviewers noted, the stickers do not always line up perfectly. But for my 4 year old, this didn't seem to bother him. And the scratch and sniff was an added bonus to the story. The stickers are not removeable, so the sticker fun was a one shot deal. But the story (and scratch and sniff) was entertaining enough to keep my son asking for this book over and over. We paired this book up with Scooby-doo Picture Clue #20: The Christmas Cookie Case (Scooby-Doo, Picture Clue) as a fun christmas treat.

This is a cute story that tells kids too much candy is not a good thing. The scratch and sniff stickers actually smell and my 3 year old loves them! All the other reviews that are irritated with the stickers not fitting "correctly" need to remember this is a book for kids, and they could care less!!!
