4.0 out of 5 stars Jinkies!
What a happy day it was when I stumbled across this CD. (I'd actually been looking for a Britney Spears album for my 5-year-old, and ended up with this. I'm sure we're all better off for it.)

This album brings back memories of the '60s and 70's for me (and of the late '90s for Katie, who's been watching the show on Cartoon Network). My own faves are the earliest...

My own faves are the earliest tunes--Recipe for My Love, Tell Me Tell Me, I Can Make You Happy. I can even tolerate Gotta Have Time, a throwback to the days of that failed experiment we call "disco." Katie likes everything except Pretty Mary Sunlite (five-year-olds haven't lived enough to appreciate Jerry Reed).

The vocal interludes that transition you from song to song are entertaining--just long enough to refresh the listener's ear between ditties.

This CD has bought us many hours of peace (albeit a few minutes at a time) as it has entertained Katie. We have even had a few free dance lessons, watching Katie do her go-go thing accompanied by the music (how could kids possibly know all those 1960's dances, anyway?). Thank you, Rhino Records!

And when I first heard about this cd and that it would have the "chase" songs on it[the only reason I bought it] I couldn't wait for it's release. But then what does rino records do ?. They put on those two crappy versions of "pretty mary sunlite" and "I can make you happy" taken from the scooby-doo movies and not the original ones from the second season of scooby-doo where are you?. Now don't get me wrong , I mean Jerry Reed is o.k. and as far as Davey Jones goes -heck - I'm a Monkees fan , but these versions just blow. As far as the rest of the cd goes?. I listen to the rest of the songs just once and haven't listen to them since. But you know what ?. If your a grown-up with kids [ like me ], kids who have just discovered scooby-doo , or just young at heart who loves those "chase" songs , then this cd has something for everyone.

4.0 out of 5 stars Groovy, Scooby, groovy!!!, June 7, 1999

A real treat to finally hear all of those Danny Janssen classics in their entirety. Plus, Jimmy Reed's "Pretty Mary Sunlite" is worth the cost of the whole cd. I've been singin' that damn tune since I was 6. The early songs are much better than the later Scoob tunes. Although, "Scooby's Mystery Mix" is pretty incredible - matching a vocal collage from the cartoon with electronic/rave music. A must have for any true Scooby fan.

3.0 out of 5 stars I almost loved it. Keyword (almost)., January 4, 2008
This review is from: Scooby-Doo's Snack Tracks: The Ultimate Collection (Audio CD)
Believe me when I tell you that I probaly love "original" Scooby Doo songs more than any one on the planet. That is why I was slightly dissapointed by this CD. The problem is that it included most of the songs from the original series sung by Danny Janssen, except for "I Can Make You Happy" and "Pretty Mary Sunlight". Those songs were awesome in a Beatles-esque type of way. Instead they used the versions by Davy Jones and Jerry reed wich are basicaly dry solo songs instead good of band music. There was more than enough space on the Cd for both versions of each. They put every type of Scooby Doo theme song available though (go figure). This CD is probably worth getting just for the song "Tell Me Tell Me" and a few others(kids will love it). It Shouldn't be called the "Ultimate Collectoion" without those two Janssen songs though, because they were some of the most memorable songs from my childhood(and a whole lot of other Generation X ers). I think that I'll write the Cartoon Network and have them release the platinum edition, which should include every type of scooby do song ever made from 1969-2008 including a crappy hip hop version of the theme song for the youth of today lol:)

5.0 out of 5 stars This is SO cute!, May 15, 2001
This review is from: Scooby-Doo's Snack Tracks: The Ultimate Collection (Audio CD)
One of my little kids I teach dance too gave me this for Christmas (Aww!) and it's such a fun CD. Granted, it's not the one I grab for when I'm listening to something out of class, but I frequently use it in classes with little kids. You get all the Scooby Doo themes, plus tons of songs from the shows. There is even a Scooby Doo club mix! When I was little, I watched the show a lot, and this CD really brings back memories. If you have a little kid in your house (4-7 years), or if you just want a real fun nostalgia trip, this is the CD for you! Don't want to buy it? Would you do it for a scooby snack . . .

5.0 out of 5 stars The Cd to remember, January 2, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Scooby-Doo's Snack Tracks: The Ultimate Collection (Audio CD)
This Cd is the best. It brings back all the memories of watching the show as a kid. I played it at work and people continually commented happily about it. It brought many memories back for many people. Thank you Rhino for letting me beable to listen to the music from my favorite show when I'm unable to watch the show itself. I recently moved and do not have cable any more so now I've started making a collection of all the videos that are still available and this made my collection even better. Anyone who liked Scooby would love this Cd it has all the theme songs from the different series and many songs from the show. Of course it doesn't have all the songs, but that would take many Cd's. For this Cd though I think they picked the ones most people would remember and the best ones. Can't wait for more Scooby stuff to come out.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for young kids, April 15, 2004
This review is from: Scooby-Doo's Snack Tracks: The Ultimate Collection (Audio CD)
Another reviewer wrote that this CD was only for nerds or hippies. I beg to differ... My five-year-old loves Scooby-Doo and now he's learning to love pop music partly through the classic bubblegum pop songs featured in the old Scooby-Doo episodes.

The songs on this discs are family-friendly and child-safe. Combined with CDs by The Wiggles and Ralph's World, my kids have quite a collection of songs to enjoy until they are ready for the more grown-up world of the radio.

5.0 out of 5 stars really good, May 16, 2000
This review is from: Scooby-Doo's Snack Tracks: The Ultimate Collection (Audio CD)
I liked the songs as well as the ones from the Scooby Movies. The best thing about this CDs the sound bytes Of the Original gang, that were used in the production of the album. This was a nice tribute to the ORIGINAL crew of Scooby Doo and his friends. This CD was far better then the second disc...
