Runs great but no directions
The scooter arrived without any assembly directions and none available online that matches the new 2012 model (scooter-x only has 2011 racer videos/instructions and they differ substantially). Junk
DONT BUY IT. Piece of junk. Cheapest aluminum used .. just two examples: 1) brake stop broke off after two uses of light riding 2) wheel bearing broke after 1 use. Also general assembly is horrid.. 3) wires not properly tied down 4) front fork assembly came improperly installed.. my kid almost got hurt because he lost the ability to steer Mechanically inclined...

Mechanically inclined .. you better be since you are going to have to rip it apart & replace key parts to ensure it is safe. If I could rate it lower than one star I would.

The scooter arrived without any assembly directions and none available online that matches the new 2012 model (scooter-x only has 2011 racer videos/instructions and they differ substantially). Being mechanically inclined, was able to assemble with a little bit of trial and error. One of the front wheel bearings was missing but the vendor corrected in time for Christmas!The scooter started without any problems and stepson is loving it! It does take a little bit of effort for the pull-start, so advise to purcase model with electric start if this is for a younger child. Teenagers should have no problem starting. |
