3.0 out of 5 stars Not too bad, but nothing special
To be honest I expected the GBA's Scorpion King to be a horrible, horrible game, but I was surprised, for the most part. The graphics are nicely rendered, as is The Rock himself, it appears a lot of time was spent trying to make him look as realistic as possible. To be honest I expected the GBA's Scorpion King to be a horrible, horrible game, but I was surprised, for the most part. The graphics are nicely rendered, as is The Rock himself, it appears a lot of time was spent trying to make him look as realistic as possible. The graphics are slick and the animation smooth, it reminds me of the Mode 7 graphics of the Super Nintendo, this could even pass for a Super NES game, but more time should have been spent on the gameplay. The levels are repititous and the enemies are repetitive, not to mention there is no save feature other than a password system which hardly does the game justice. All in all, The Scorpion King is not neccessarily a bad game, but if you really want to buy it wait until it goes down in price.

i was really surpised by this game, i got it as a gift and i was just expecting another movie game. but this GBA game has solid gameplay and graphics. its full of really cool characters and plenty of weapons for The Rock to choose from. i suggest any gamer should go and check this game out - you'll be really suprised.

2.0 out of 5 stars The Scorpion King is far from king., May 4, 2002
This review is from: Scorpion King (Video Game)
I recently got this game because I heard it was going to be like Castlevania:Cotm but, this game is a far cry from that game. The game is just so straight forward. It also features a password system simmilar to the Now-Classic Aladdin on the SNES. The game could have used the gameboy advances saving ability. The company apparently spent to hard to try to capture the Rock's looks than making everything come together. One last thing that bugs me is that the enemies are either Big Fat Arabs, snakes, bugs, or zombies.

+ The Rock is in it
Graphics are ok

- Just about everything else

I love this game so much. It was even better than I thought it was going to be. Good graphics, very impressive for a gba game. Great levels, enemies, and story, just awesome stuff. This instantly became one of my all time favorite gba games, it is such a great experience. If your into gba games, this one is well worth it and I don't think you'll be dissappointed.

3.0 out of 5 stars Has its good points. A bit too complicated, though., September 15, 2005
= Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Scorpion King (Video Game)
This game is alright. I mean, there are some fun parts to it, like slicing up your enemies with daggers and/or swords and sickles. And the graphics and sound aren't all that bad either. However, some of the levels, like the first and one I've been stuck on are hard to understand. I mean, it's almost like you have to die on these stage levels no matter how talented you may be. Sooner or later I will be getting further, and this game really does have some worth. But only some. From the fun stuff described above to the difficult things under it, it all averages out this game's value. All in all, this is not at all a terrible game, but you should only play it if you are bored and have done everything else.

4.0 out of 5 stars Real cool!, September 24, 2002
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Scorpion King (Video Game)
This game is really fun. But when I say short I mean short and this game is the shortest game I've ever played. But it is really cool. You have the choice of the sword or scimatars. I love the way bad guys come to fight you in groups. But there s only six levels and it cost [a lot] Still a great game and highly recomened it.

3.0 out of 5 stars the scorpion king, February 27, 2002

the scorpion king, starring the rock, has a video game debuting on the GBA in april or may. it is a fun side scrolling game, but is really not pushing the limits of the GBA's capabilities. it is not even close to the limits of the GBA. it is a simple side scrolling game, looking as if it is on the regular gameboy. if side scrolling is your thing, then i suggest you get this game. It is not a must have game, but can pass the time if you have no other games.

this is the stupidiest game ever. at the beginning its fun but then you get to a board where when you walk the floor falls in and you can't get to the other side. this was a total waste of 40bucks.
