007 battles a mad cult leader named Scorpius who controls people with his special magic on them. Of course Bond uses his own magic on them and saves the day. One of the Best!

Scorpius is the best of the middle era of John gardner books. The middle era runs from 1984 to 1988. The best early book is Licence renewed and the best later book, and the best book of them all, is Win, Lose or Die. Scorpius is okay.
