Prior to purchasing one of these, I straightened out four wire coat hangers to get my radio out. It worked, but took a little bit of time and just the right touch for it to come out without trouble. Since then this tool has been invaluable for myself and friends for our stereo upgrade projects.

It is possible to remove a radio without this tool, but it took me ten times longer to get it done. It's worth the five bucks to simply insert the tool into the face of the radio and pull the radio out whenever the task comes up.

This product made installing a new cd-player in my car a SNAP. Without them it would have been next to impossible to get the old radio out. Well worth the money!

My brother recently got a 1998 Saab and needed t get the radio out to see the code to unlock it because they are typically written on the top of the radio. He had been trying to get the radio out for a few days and got a set from the local auto parts store as well. I ordered these, and within 10 minutes of giving them to him, he walked in the house, radio in hand.

This item is essentially very expensive bent wires. It is very over-priced. The ends of these "tools" are not notched in a way that would grab the radio's retainers. Fair price for this item is around $1.49. It bends very easily when you try to push them outwards to remove the radio. Took a long time to successfully get the damn radio out.

Bought for ford radio removal... went with cheapest shipped... removal tools actually bent during removal... would have liked a stronger/stiffer metal... but it did the job and was half the price of most other options... plus have both styles in the tool kit now

This worked awesome on my ford truck stereo. I bet even a tard could use this to fix their radio - well maybe. Would buy again if needed.
