Prior to purchasing one of these, I straightened out four wire coat hangers to get my radio out. It worked, but took a little bit of time and just the right touch for it to come out without trouble. Since then this tool has been invaluable for myself and friends for our stereo upgrade projects.

This product will only removed a single DIN height radio since it only includes two of the DIN2 hooks(the small ones). You need to purchase two sets to remove a double DIN height radio.

It is possible to remove a radio without this tool, but it took me ten times longer to get it done. It's worth the five bucks to simply insert the tool into the face of the radio and pull the radio out whenever the task comes up.

I am a first timer at stereo replacement. I was removing the factory stereo from my 2002 Ford Focus. This little do-dad made it SO easy. I had the stereo out in less than 1 minute! Definitely worth it!

The tool work just fine.

Remember to insert around 1.25" to 1.5" or until you note pressure (from the clips), at that point push both sides outwards and make sure your radio or stereo is in the center of the space where is located and it will come out very easy. If your stereo is in one side, even if you push the clips in, they can grab the side and you will have problems removing the stereo.

I use this tool to pull the cd and cassette of a 2000 mustang convertible and after 15 or 20 minutes it work; is when I saw my mistake having the stereo in one side and not in the center of the space and also how far I need to put the clips in. When I remove the 2nd unit in this car it took me less then 3 minutes. Good luck in your project.

This product made installing a new cd-player in my car a SNAP. Without them it would have been next to impossible to get the old radio out. Well worth the money!

Shipped on time but missing 1 of the tools for european radios. Tryed using the Ford removal tools but the tools bent easily and, after 2 hours of trying, I could not get the radio out. Sending the tools back to get another made no sense because it is not the worth the cost of shipping to return. Extremely dissappointed in tool and Amazon. Also found NO WAY to contact Amazon about my problems, just the "return" option.

My brother recently got a 1998 Saab and needed t get the radio out to see the code to unlock it because they are typically written on the top of the radio. He had been trying to get the radio out for a few days and got a set from the local auto parts store as well. I ordered these, and within 10 minutes of giving them to him, he walked in the house, radio in hand.

I bought these to remove my receiver out of my 2005 Miata. I thought I was doing to need another set based on some how-to videos on YouTube, but I only need these.
