I'm very pleased with this product and wish I had bought it the first time around. However, I tried to keep costs down and bought something cheaper (a Metra 95-2009 Double DIN Installation Multi-Kit) that ended up being frustrating and a waste of money. What a mistake. The Scosche kit is far superior as it doesn't use brittle, easily breakable plastic like the Metra kit did.

I used this kit to install a double din Pioneer unit in my 2001 Monte Carlo LS. Kind of confusing at first, luckily my friend figured out what pieces we had to break off the kit in order to fit the deck in my dashboard. Fits like a glove.

Easy to follow instructions for cutting it to fit my Trailblazer, and works perfectly for a year now!
You should buy it! That's my personal opinion!

I purchased this to facilitate the installation of a Jensen VM9424 double DIN GPS/DVD receiver into the dash of a 2002 Chevy Trailblazer - this kit allowed the correct bolt mounting of the new receiver into the factory bolt holes and the trim ring allowed an 'OEM' finished look - I am satisfied and recommend this Kit for your applicable installation.

I felt compelled to write this review seeing as it currently has only one star. Unlike the previous reviewer, I found the item to be described perfectly. Maybe they had issues with a third party seller. I purchased my kit directly from Amazon.

I used this kit to install a Pioneer AVIC-Z120BT in my 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue. Check the manufacturer's web site for your application and make sure you get the right part number as I did. The install went well, broke off the "extra" tabs on the kit so it would match the OEM radio mounting tabs. There was also some sort of plastic support bar attachment that made things a little sturdier, I didn't see any mention of it in the instructions though...

My only issue with the product was the instructions that it came with, not a big issue for me, but they were garbage.
For my particular application, they wanted me to break off the wrong tabs. The instructions on how to remove the stock radio was missing important steps (would break plastic panels if you followed their instructions). As I said, this was not a big issue for me as I knew what I was doing, but other installers/buyers beware.
