The biggest complaint is the mic\button.

I use these earphones with my Apple Iphone. I have been using the Apple Earphones with the phone and have been disappointed with the quality of sound. I work in a warehouse and use headphones daily. After I read the reviews for these head phones, I thought I would give them a try. They were sent fast. When I received them I was astonished with how well they blocked the noise in the warehouse and how full the music sounded. The bass is rich and deep. They work exceptionally well with the phone and they allow me to use my Iphone in the warehouse even with big equipment running. I have asked associates that I speak to regularly on the phone if they can hear the forklift or compressor in the back ground and they almost always respond that there is some faint nice, but I am coming clear. I love these things. For the price, I think they are untouchable.

I needed a new pair of iPhone 3G headphones since my original Apple headphones mic\button finally bit the dust. Poor thing. I spent weeks looking for a new pair. I went to Target, Walmart, FYE, and tried a bunch. I have sensitive ears and boy were the Apple headphones painful in my ear after like, 1 minute. I wanted ones that were not over the head and went in ear. So after a ton of research, I tried these. On the first try, the button didn't work. It took a restart of my phone to get them to work.

I'm wearing the buds that are in the picture and they work the best out of all the other buds for me. It feels weird, but you really have to push these bad boys deep into your ear in order for two things to happen: the noise isolation to REALLY work and for them to stay in snugly. The ends are surprisingly heavy! The biggest complaint is the mic\button. One, it's on the left side, instead of on the right (like the Apple headphones). Two, it's located pretty high up. Three, (and this is the worst of it) you have to find the button ON the button to get it to work. How to explain this... from afar, the mic\button looks just like the Apple one, when it comes to length and width. But when you get up close, you see that this is not ACTUALLY the button that you press. There is a tiny slim button ON TOP of the big flat button! And it's only on one side! So when someones trying to talk to you or call you, you have to remember that the mic\button is on the left side, much higher than usual, find the tiny button on ONE side, then press it dead on. By this time the phone's nearly done ringing or the person's walked away.

The good thing is that when everything is set up correctly, it sounds pretty good on bass and the mic\button does do exactly what the Apple iPhone Headphones do (not the 3Gs ones).

The sound quality is good, and the comfort is great. The only problem is the rubber ear pieces come off easily in your pocket and can be lost even more easily. I have lost all but a few of them in the past three months. Other than that I would recommend this product to anyone. I even bought a pair for my father.

Bought these in June 2010 for my iPhone 3GS. I wanted stronger sound output and better noise-cancellation than Apple's earbuds (which seem to have taken a step back in quality). Also liked that the inline mic was a bit higher than normal, as I find others constantly get snagged on my shirt collar.

It's now August 2010, and the mic's button has already stopped working. This was after regular but fairly gentle use. I'm assuming the rest of the earbuds will start falling apart in short order. I was getting ready to order a second pair of these to have as a backup, because I was pretty satisfied with them up to this point. Glad I held off, obviously will look for a more durable alternative.

The headphones sound pretty good and feels like would provide good noise isolation, but biggest disappointment so far has been that the multi function button is not working with Nexus One Android (v2.2) phone. I tried using the out of the box music app, MixZing, DoubleTwist...no luck! I have yet to test the MFB functionality in call scenario. I am guessing it wont work there either :(

The manual does not say anything about NexusOne or android compatibility.

But this random site says it is "compatible":

Why arent these things standardized yet damn it!

I only keep these earphones in the car for driving for phone calls and don't carry them around with me at all. The construction of the earbuds is very solid since they are made mostly of metal, but it does not make them too heavy to wear. I've had some issues with the microphone when the parties I was having conversations with could not really hear me. Since I realized that there might be an issue with the position of the microphone, I've been paying attention to keep it relatively close to my mouth during calls. While it is not a bid deal to do sitting in a car, I imagine it could be a hassle if these were earphones I used on-the-go. What is annoying about them is that the silicone inserts that go over the earbuds keep coming off. So far, I lost one from each of the two earsets. The sound quality is OK, though I only use it for telephone conversations, so I don't set the bar too high. I would not buy the earphones again since the disappearing silicone pieces are annoying enough to make me look elsewhere.
