I purchased this item two years ago. Save your money and skip it. It is garbage. It kept disconnecting every two minutes, and I had to reset everything to reconnect. I thought I had a faulty unit and got it replaced, same result. STAY AWAY.

Works very well with my iPhone. Does exactly what it says. There was not a lot of info out there about this unit, but I got a very good deal on a closeout unit here on Amazon so it was worth the gamble. In the end, I won. This is a potentially much cheaper and more built-in solution than the speakerphone units that clip to your visor, though of course not as portable.

It comes with both car and home power adapters. It can be hardwired into your car, as I did, or you can attach it to your home stereo if you have an extra input. The microphone is on a long cord that can be clipped to a car visor, etc. It also has an answer/hangup button on it. The mic cord plugs into the main unit.

The main unit has two RCA jacks on it, as you can see. These plug into your car or home stereo. Then, you pair your phone with the unit and you're done. When you receive a call, audio comes through whatever device you've attached to the RCA jacks and you talk into the microphone on the long cord; couldn't be simpler. Like a bulky Bluetooth headset.

This is apparently part of a system of Bluetooth components Scoche released. You do not need any of the other components to use this unit. Likewise, the Engrish instructions that come with the unit are confusing. I found it easiest just to ignore them and let my intuition guide me. If you've worked with other Bluetooth technology before, you'll have no problem figuring this out.

I already owned a Sony bluetooth bidirectional receiver/transmitter for my home theater, and I made the mistake of thinking I could transport it to my car with the same end results. Not so.

Because the Sony requires that it be turned on via tactile power button each time, I had to open my center console every time I started my car just to turn the thing on. With this Scosche it is no longer an issue.

Furthermore, I was able to adjust the gain on this receiver the first time I used it, so that the volume level would be roughly equal to that of my FM radio.

This unit has only 5% of the low-level background noise as the Sony, meaning I no longer hear my alternator whine into the speakers between tracks.

Ironically, at home, the Sony picks up slightly less noise than the Scosche, although they are very similar.

Definitely true AD2P high quality audio, and no problems maintaining multiple pairings with 3 different Nokia phones.

I plan to buy one for each successive vehicle I buy.
