I bought this tape because it seemed to be the best deal by far on Amazon. Now I understand why it was so cheap. This tape is very thin and flimsy so I end up layering it on over box seams. I don't really trust that one layer alone will hold boxes closed. But the worst thing about this tape is that it splits. Every 2nd or 3rd time I use this tape it splits when I peel the end up to start it. This is extremely obnoxious, frustrating, and time consuming. Not to mention a waste of tape because I have to throw out the pieces that get mangled. So in the end, when you factor in the extra tape you use because the tape is not strong enough, the tape that is wasted when it splits into pieces, and the extra time spent dealing with these issues, it is NOT a bargain.

I've used this tape for years, and shipped hundreds of packages with it. It's great and I'm glad they sell it by the 6 pack here, the only other place I can find it for this price is Menards, but they are usually out of stock.

For the price and quality, this is unbeatable. I've used other brands and some other scotch models, and these tapes are the best for such low price. They don't rip or tear easily as other tapes, and it's always easy to trace & separate the end of the tape from the roll due to its thickness.

I bought this by mistake when I ran out of 3850 packing tape; I just wasn't paying attention. This is certainly better than a lot of cheap packing tapes, but I was disappointed in the drop in quality from the 3850. This is thinner and not as clear.

Of course, it's half the price of the 3850, and the difference in quality may not justify the increased cost for many, but it does for me.

I like most Scotch tape products, but I'm disappointed in this purchase. The sealing tape is so thin. It works once it's on, but I'm not sure I trust it to hold together a large, heavy box. Not only that, it keeps getting all twisted and tangled up on itself in my tape gun. It's like cheap plastic wrap, it can't keep its form.

I recommend Tape It sealing tape. It is a thicker, sturdier tape that works much better in my tape gun and holds very well.

Despite having the Scotch brand, this tape is very low quality and thin. I would only trust it on very, very lightweight shipments. Unfortunately, most things that go in a box are not that lightweight, so it's really pretty pointless. I read a couple of other reviews saying the same thing, but I thought I'd take my chances since some people thought it was great. I wonder now if those people have ever used other packing tape! Spend your money wisely on the slightly pricier, heavy duty tape. You'll be saving money in the long run!

Great value for the length and the price. It just feels bit flimsy and quite thin, compared to some other tape I used, so that I have to put several layers on top to feel the package safe enough.

I occassionally just need to ship things or tape up boxes for storage and got tired of using the smaller cheap tape dispensers. So I got a real tape dispenser from Scotch and decided to go with their branded tape. Basically, it works extremely well. You might think there isn't much to tape. But if you've bought some of the cheaper brands and tried to use a lot of it... you'll understand. There is nothing more annoying that having the tape get stuck, comes off of the roll in "strands" rather than all together, or doesn't do it's basic job. Which is to simply be "sticky" and hold things together. Quite a basic function of course, but some tapes just can't get it done.

I've already gone through about a dozen rolls of this Scotch tape in the past year and haven't had any issues. You'd be surprised how often you need to tape things up. So go with the good stuff. And at the prices here on Amazon to buy a 6-pack, you really have no reason not to.

I do a lot of personal shipping with my small ebay business and needed more than just a couple of rolls of tape. This was simply the best value at the best price. I recommend it.

I have used this packaging tape for years without problem. I have found it to be the best tape for general packaging and you can rely on it to get your package delivered in one piece. It is very strong and durable and it clear so it looks nice. It works very well in a tape dispenser.
