Perfect for my application. First I have to state, because of the previous negative amazon reviews of this product--you should have reasonable expectations of a product when you buy it online as you cannot hold and touch it. I usually do, and therefore I was VERY pleased with this product!

I wasn't looking for heavy-duty duct tape, if I were I WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN PURCHASING PINK, eh? I bought this tape for its BRIGHT factor. This is my deal: I couldn't seem to keep up with my new house phone. It is slim and black and just seemed to "disappear" on every surface I would lay it on when I was through. (Yes, I lay my phones everywhere, bookshelves, tables, dressers, counters, etc.)

Anyway, I've had this PINK tape on the back of my house phone for over a month now. It is lightweight and stuck to the phone simply and easily and has shown NO SIGNS OF WEAR or COMING OFF! And YES, I can find my phone now!!!

I chose the color pink, out of the huge variety of colors offered on amazon, simply because nothing else in my home is bright pink so I knew a quick scan of the rooms should turn this up--just think pink and you'll be able to locate my phone!

****UPDATE AUGUST 12, 2012****** UPDATE ******* Had to lower the stars from five to three. *******

I guess I got really lucky with this product sticking perfectly to the surface I bought it for--my telephone handset. Whatever the phone is made out of--this tape sticks to perfectly. However, I'd hate my above review and previous five stars cause someone to purchase this tape and find it useless for their application. I have since tried this tape on the inside of a kitchen counter, and it did not stick to either the wood or the shiny part of the inside, nor did it stick to a rubbermaid trash can made of more like a bouncy plastic, than a hard plastic. Nor did it stick to a box. But hey, it is still going strong on my phone, so I'm still glad I bought it. Hope this was helpful.

This tape should not be considered duct tape. It is flimsy and does not stick! It might work well if you're taping up very light objects like paper but I was using this for a costume. It would not even hold cardboard together. It doesn't stick and on top of all of that, the tape somehow leaves a residue on the UNSTICKY SIDE! Somehow, after applying this tape, the yellow coloring gave off a sticky gray residue, making my project ugly and falling apart. Do not buy.

I bought this tape to make a cardboard and duct tape costume for my son. This stuff does *not* stick to anything like paper, cardboard, wood. I used a lot of duct tape in my HS drama days, so I know the stuff is supposed to stick to such stuff.

It is a very shiny vinyl and looks nice. Seems to work fine if you glue it down, but it defeats the purpose of being tape! Anyway, if you need to tape plastic or just fold it on itself for a craft, it works ok.

This product would get zero stars if possible. This tape is horrible, it is not truly duct tape. The tape is very thin, you can't rip it like you can normal duct tape due to the vinyl coating, and it doesn't stick to anything for very long. On top of that, the tape on the rolls was wrinkled and wouldn't smooth out properly. 3M/Scotch should be ashamed.

If you are looking for real duct tape, this is not for you. Thin, stretchy, weak and will not hold in damp or heat. Total garbage.

This is the worst tape I've ever used. I bought it for my three-year old daughter, and even she thinks it's garbage. Doesn't stick to anything.

The tape is bright and sticky by is difficult to tear due to the loose knit of the backing cloth. Ripping by hand results in a ragged edge. It really needs to be cut rather than torn.

Edit: I've used this tape for several purposes now and I can't recommend it. In addition to the difficulty tearing it by hand, the plastic stretches and wrinkles up on the torn edge to the point where the adhesive is not strong enough to adhere the ragged edge. This results in the edge of the tape being loose.

I used the tape on the rubber edge of the rear wing of a small airplane to protect it from stone chips and it was wrinkled on the next day. And, it was in the hangar away from the elements. Not good.
