5.0 out of 5 stars Just Like Post-It Note Glue
The stickiness of the Scotch Removable tape is just like that of Post-It notes, made by the same company, 3M.
I love using this for temporary taping, and for taping papers onto walls. It comes off without taking off the paint or wallpaper.

I bought this thinking it would work well as a hinge tape to mount prints on mats. I wanted something that would stick but that I could also remove if I had to reposition the print, and I wanted it to be photo-safe.

The tape does come off, but it leaves behind a very sticky residue, even if it has been attached for less than 5 minutes. If you don't scrub the...

The tape does come off, but it leaves behind a very sticky residue, even if it has been attached for less than 5 minutes. If you don't scrub the residue off, it will attract dirt and dust and be very obvious. Totally unacceptable.

Lesson learned, don't skimp, spend the money on a proper hinge tape.

Really improved on old scotch tape, but not available in stores. That makes no sense, but such things happen. Anyway,
Regular tape is permanent, this is removable.

So my best friend has wrote me a couple cards that I find very precious and I wanted to put them up on this CONCRETE wall. Do notice before you start flaming at me for saying that it doesn't work that the wall that I was trying to mount the cards to wasn't exactly the most smooth thing in the world. It's actually pretty rough. So I tried to tape the cards to the wall with this removable tape but it wouldn't stay. My room's condition is mild and around 70 degrees if that makes a difference (it should if the room's too humid tape doesn't stick). So in the end I had to tape the ends of the cards with this tape and take some other kind of tape (clear tape to be exact) to tape the removable tape down to the wall. When I was taping the removable tape down to the wall the removable tape was also coming off of the paper..... it didn't really stick with the paper either. I guess this tape is still in its beta form?
