Purchased directly from Amazon for $14.75

The tape is sturdy and plenty sticky. The dispenser however, is a bit clunky. It seems well made, but I tried using it to tape a box and it didn't cut the tape. Might be better for large boxes (my box was shoe-box sized). I have a cheapie dispenser that works better than this one.

But, since the package was still cheaper than local office stores, I'm giving it 4 stars since it's the same high quality Scotch Heavy Duty Shipping & Packing tape that I'm used to purchasing from brick and mortar stores.

Great product, great price. A bit tricky at first trying to figure out what parts needed to be taken off of it. As it has a sharp cutting area.. they screwed in some other pieces that you need to take off first. Once I got it working it was a bit stiff but quickly become useable.

I ship many products monthly thanks to sales on eBay and I tend to go through tape quite a bit. I purchased this item on a lightening deal and have to say, overall, I am not impressed.

PRO
* Cheaper thinner tape is difficult to start on their rolls especially if you lose the end. Also cheap tape tends to split when using. This tape did not suffer common splitting issues I have with the cheaper versions. Also, I was not afraid of the tape snapping in two when pressure is applied.

CON
* The tape sticks as well to items as cheaper tapes. The strength of the tape is greater but it did not enhance its connective properties. Also, this roller is horrible. I thought the roller was to provide a more enjoyable, easier and quicker experience taping and it has been the complete opposite. You are better off getting the hand roller such as Scotch Sure Start Shipping Packaging Tape with Dispenser, 1.88 Inches x 38.2 Yards, 1 Roll with Dispenser (3450S-RD) and buying extra rolls for that dispenser.
