Our lab sheds - a lot. Big, yellow quills blanket our house. The Scotch Fur Fighter removes most all of the hair on our couches. If you have a pet that sheds, buy this product and keep it handy.

This device looks like a great solution for removing pet hair that has gotten stuck in upholstery. It uses a pad made of the prickly side of Velcro to catch and pull pet hairs up.

It doesn't work well enough to buy. The pad succeeds in pulling up hair, but not really more hair than a good lint roller would get, and not more than a good vacuum either. Because it's small and cheap and easy to keep in the car, I could say it does well enough and rate it highly. BUT - the pad actually damages the upholstery, by pulling out fibers and making it more fuzzy. I tried using it on a black desk chair, and it was very obvious that it was pulling fibers of the chair upholstery out, while leaving stubborn white dog hairs in. In fact, this "hair remover" becomes a "hair re-dropper" when the pad gets partially full but you keep rubbing it to get a few stubborn hairs out.

There's no reason whatsoever to buy this item. I can't deny that this thing catches up some hair, but not enough, and not gently enough. Users who recommend it might find it slightly better than a lint roller or easier than a vacuum, but I think the damage to the upholstery more than cancels out the benefits.

I love this product! The disposable sheets grab pet hair easily. The only reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 has to do with the device that the hair removal sheets go on. I have this one and the one with the handle and this one is harder to grip than the one with the handle - that is the only complaint I have and it is with the device so it is pretty minimal. I have a Lab and a long hair cat and they both shed a lot. Their hair is coarse and fine and this picks up their hair easily. I've used it on throw pillows, comforters, and throw rugs and the pet hair comes off easily. I also use it on pet beds and pet blankets, if you use it before washing these items it prevents the pet hair from clogging up or sticking to the walls of the washer and dryer and transferring hair to items in other loads of laundry. I have tried it on car upholstry and it works very well. My furniture is mostly leather or wood so I honestly can't say how if works on sofas and chairs.
