Scotch Thermal Laminator Once you laminate something with the pouches are you able to cut around it. I want to laminate some business cards and lay say 10 of them out (spaced out) and then run it through and cut them out (leaving a little edge and rounding the corners). Do any of you have this machine and are you able to do that?
You can cut the pouches after they've been sealed. When I use a 4x6" size pouch to laminate two or three cards, I leave enough space between that the pouch will seal between the cards and then I can cut each card separately
I suppose it's possible. You'd probably want to experiment with low settings and work your way up, but I'd be afraid of it being too hot and ruining not just the pouch, but also the item you're laminating, not to mention the iron. If you're bent on trying it, I's suggest putting parchment paper (not wax paper) between the iron and the pouch. The good thing about the laminator is that it gets a good tight seal right up to the edges of whatever you're laminating. That might be tough to do with an iron.
Yeah, it's a problem with the description... I saw it after I replied to your question and looked at mine... there's definitely no place to put batteries. It takes 5 minutes to warm up plugged in, no way a battery is making that take any less time.
Does it say anywhere what the warrenty is? I bought this machine about a year ago, used it twice (just recently) and it's dead. I can't see on the website, like others have written what it is. Should have opened it sooner I guess.
