Excellent fabric protection for new furniture, cheaper (and quality more controllable) than having manufacturer put it on. Only concern might be chemicals for those with multiple chemical sensitivity. Also, wish it were just a little cheaper. I used 2 whole cans to cover one reclining rocker (can says one can will cover two chairs). I didn't overspray either, just light coverage back and forth at the appropriate distance. When that dried, I did apply another light coat, as recommended, rather than one thick spray coat.

What more can I say. I used this on a tablecloth and it works great for my little ones spills. The liquid just beads on the fabric. I've washed it several times in the laundry.

Growing up I owned several pairs of white Keds and to keep them clean, my dad sprayed them with scotchgard. His pet peeve is dirty shoes and now (shockingly!) it's mine as well. So when I recently bought a couple pairs of TOMS shoes in a lighter color, I immediately needed to spray them with Scotchgard to protect them from stains, just like my dad.

Application and smell was exactly as I remembered, they dried fast, and did not affect the colored fabric of the shoes. The Scotchgard does exactly as advertised, I got them a little wet and the water beaded-up on the shoes - fantastic!

Evidently I am not the best walker because my heels always have scuff marks on them (I assume from scuffing on each other) and with the Scotchgard protected shoes, they are easily wiped clean.

Scotchgard is a trusted name to protect belongings and continues to work as advertised. I am back to order more, so that I can Scotchgard everything in my life (my poor husband!)

We own five rentals so last year when we bought and furnished a new one we purchased 5 cans of the spray. I applied it to a corduroy Sofa Loveseat and kitchen and dining room chairs; honestly I didn't know what to expect, but I followed the directions used four cans and off it went for a six month rental. I just got access to the home and although the unit was fairly dirty there e=were no stains or wear marks anywhere on any of the furniture; these were not the cleanest of people and I spent a lot of time cleaning the home. The best part of it was that I vacuumed the upholstery and it all came back looking like new.

We have added another home and newly furnished it I ordered another five cans and coated a loveseat sofa chair kitchen chairs (4) dining room chairs (4) and two bar stools and I still have a can left.

I also found out that by coating the outdoor furniture wicker with cushions that not a bit of mildew built up during the 6 month period; we are hoping for the same results this year and I will update this post after this season.

It is easy to apply make sure it is well ventilated and wear a mask if you can. I hope you are as happy with the product as I am.

Scotchgard Fabric Protector has been around for a very long time. This is an easy to use product that gives you the edge over spills on fabric. Protecting furniture is one of the more popular uses of Scotchgard because it does a great job while being easy to apply.

Scotchgard excels at protecting fabrics. Liquids and spills tend to bead or not stick to the fabric's surface, giving you plenty of time to wipe them off. Buy one more can of Scotchgard than what you estimate you will need to insure good coverage. As with any household aerosols, keep your house well ventilated to reduce breathing in the product.

Scotchgard is an excellent product that is well worth the investment.

I used this product 4 years ago when I bought a couch. Sprayed all the surfaces that came in contact with the body. After 4 years, and 1 reapplication in between, no oil stains on the headrest and no dark marks on the hand rests. Family had spilled drinks & food on fabric which came out completely. Very satisfied with product. Bought it again when we upgraded our furniture and sprayed everything down. Has been a year and still no stains. Highly recommended if you want the look of your furniture to last.

I tried machine washing my athletic shoes but I soon found them looking dirty again. I got an idea to spray Scotchgard on my sneakers and they stayed clean looking longer. If I got dirt on my sneakers I just wiped them off with a damp cloth. I'm going to do my tote bags next. Thanks for a great product.

I had been searching for this in my hometown area for weeks, found it here online and it does exactly as it supposed to! Put on dress shirts, linen etc, highly recommend!

I was able to do 3 layers of this on my 3 IKEA chairs. Not quite sure if it works as a stain blocker yet, but I can say that it doesn't change the color of the cover, and the feel of the chair after application is the same.

Hard to find fault with a product that has been around for so long! This does its job and is very easy to apply. The fumes are very potent so make sure you apply this outside or in a very well-ventilated room.
