Beautiful photography all through the book showing many ancient sites. History comes alive in this book. There is a chronological listing in the end of the book showing all the major historical events of Scotland. If you are planning a trip to Scotland or have just come back from there, as I have, this book is a valuable memento. Great coffee table book to browse through!
