For anyone collecting first day covers, this pocket version of the full sized Scott Specialized edition is indispensible. A great feature is the checkoff for each item which, when carried with you on buying expeditions, immediatly lets you know what you do have in your collection. Great value and a great tool.

I just received the book this morning and have spent part of the day using the "checklist" part of the book. One problem is that they do not list every issue. When there is a sheet of individual stamps - that would require individual covers - they are not individually listed. For example Scott #3926-3929 is listed once as a single block and then the next line is 3926-3929 any single. Each number is not listed. How am I supposed to use this list if I have 3 of the 4 examples and want to be aware that I am missing the 4th?
Many issues are not described so that I can tell which one I should check off on the list. There are not enough pictures or descriptive text to differentiate if you are not already aware of the number and appearance.
The check boxes should be larger. The binding is so tight it is difficult to open the book fully. A different type of binding would have been better, ie spiral binding.
I am disappointed.

The book is very good, but I haven't seen any changes since I last bought this same book 4 or 5 years ago. I was expecting price changes for the various covers. Perhaps I'm the one who has illusions of these FDC's going up in value.
