5.0 out of 5 stars LOVE these!!! January 10, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
If you have not read Scott Nicholson, this is an AWESOME collection of stories and a GREAT way to get them!! Cursed is brilliantly written with JR Rain and is a fantastic creepy story. October Girls is a such a fun story of two teen girls, a witch and a ghost, but still great fun. Transparent Lovers is about a man caught between worlds trying to solve his own murder and Speed Dating with the Dead is a fun yet scary ride. Scott is a very fun yet scary, humorous yet creepy, smart writer and I HIGHLY recommend his work!

5.0 out of 5 stars Superb Scott Nicholson Universes (plus J. R. Rain!) January 24, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Vol. 3:

Scott Nicholson is an accomplished, mature writer, and so prolific that surely he seldom, if ever, experiences writer's block! Additionally, he is so not a prima donna writer that he collaborates very successfully with many other authors, weaving seamless narratives that excite, thrill, and delight their readers. When I set out to read-and review-a Scott Nicholson novel, my only dilemma is "Which one do I read first?"

"Cursed!" by J. R. Rain and Scott Nicholson
Horror in the midst of realism; Supernatural invading every-day reality; this is the content of which nightmares are constructed. Join Authors Rain and Nicholson as they prove it's not impossible for an ordinary businessman, with all his faults, foibles, and a few saving graces, to witness the incursion of another realm-a very terrifying and dangerous realm-into his reality, without notice, without warning, but with every terror imaginable.

Sometimes unexpected life-changing (even life-ending) danger arrives in the form of a natural disaster, or an automotive accident, or a train derailment. For insurance claims investigator Albert Shipway, a dedicated alcoholic just past an ugly divorce, lost in his own way, danger comes in the form of a spooky little elderly lady, who looks like she just passed in from an earlier time and place, but who has the power to see his future-and his past-and maybe to foretell his fate.
Terror slinks in with the chill of an uncommon breeze, but it latches on to its unsuspecting victim with an unbreakable, unstoppable grip. Get into "Cursed!" and feel that grip-but don't read with the lights dimmed!

"October Girls"
It isn't often readers can laugh while engrossed in the Supernatural, but when it does happen, often it's due to Scott Nicholson.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love Scott Nicholson March 4, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I have at least 5 of his box sets and several individual titles. I have been trying to get all his available titles on my Kindle Fire. Would highly recommend his books to anyone who enjoys Zombies or have an interest in his books. He seems to hook me in when I start reading so I try to keep reading until the end. Then of course I have more to read. When I run out of titles to read I will probably return to the best for a second read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just Awesome! July 11, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I found this new author on Amazon after reading "other similar books", and after I started going through the reviews, thought I might give it a try because of all the stars it got (and yes losts of times I let the ratings sway me). I was NOT disappointed, and since then have bought many more of his books. So far he has most definitely not let me down. Great author!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars True Supernatural Stories November 17, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Scott Nicholson has had some very good books that I have read. Some of them are a little too bizarre for me even though I am a Stephen King and Dean Koontz lover. Some will love them and others will hate them. Books seem to be targeted for a small audience. If the price is right, you may enjoy them.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Set!! August 9, 2012
By Chris C
Format:Kindle Edition
I have read all of these books. However, I did not have them all in a set! That is awesome! I loved all of these books. It would be hard to try and pick my favorite one. This set offers horror with dashes of humor. And did I mention spooky? Scott Nicholson is the king of spooky! Pick these up and you will not be disappointed.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not quite Liquid Fear... April 22, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
But solid stories nonetheless. I have to admit I really enjoyed Liquid Fear by Scott Nicholson and while the other stuff I have read by him is good it doesn't measure up for me personally. This was an entertaining set of books overall with the strongest I feel to be Speed Dating with the Dead.

He is a solid writer and covers various topics and has a broad range so you will find something you enjoy by him and these box sets are a good way to find out what that is.

All that said, Give him a read and find out what style of story of his you enjoy.

I believe the writer only creates half the story, and that you complete it by bringing your imagination, experience, and heart to the tale. I am happy to share the journey with you.

I've written more than 20 novels, about 80 short stories, four children's books, some comic books, screenplays, and a couple of non-fiction books, as well as five collaborations with J.R. Rain. Many of my tales are based on supernatural legends from the Southern Appalachian Mountains, and I also write mystery and suspense thrillers that are most often compared to the work of Stephen King and Dean Koontz.

I've also published Liquid Fear and Chronic Fear with Amazon's Thomas & Mercer imprint and McFall with 47North, as well as a number of audiobooks and foreign translations. I love hearing from you, because you're the reason I do this, so let's connect! Learn more about my work at
