can't get enough,

His virtuosic playing is driving and powerful, his forte and fortissimo are also immense and not overdone, but Scott's gift is for the adagio. His slow, dolce movements are breathtaking. He has the most delicate touch. His pianissimos are infinitely tender and intense. Penetrating, deeply moving, transcendant, and yet also sensual. I cannot help but admire the man and his talent. His next recording is eagerly anticipated by this returning reviewer.

I have played this CD over and over again since I aquired it. I loved it the first time, and I find something new in each playing. I've decided my favorite selection, which I sometimes play repeatedly is #18, Schumann's Posthumous Variation 5 of the Symphonic Etudes, Opus 13. Scott's playing is so thoughtful, sensitive and passionate, it becomes an intimate experience. The more I listen, the more I am intrigued by the performance and the performer! I also love considering the electricity in his hands! It can be heard in the tenderness of the dolce passages as well as the forte, percussive pieces. A definite virtuoso. Go ahead and buy this CD!

A joy to hear from start to finish! The expression on the Beethoven Sonata No.30 in Emajor Opus 109 is convincing, effective and lovely. This Beethoven is one of my favorites, but I appreciate the Schumann and his use and placement of the posthumous variations, as well. A fine CD for the serious listener, as well someone who just wants good music with dinner.
