Worthing Adding to Your Library?, September 16, 2001

This review is from: Scottish Deerhounds (Kw Dog Breed Series) (Hardcover)
Since this book is no longer published, one typically must net search to find an available copy from a publishing reseller or clearance house. Considering the limited amount of information contained within and the fact that prices vary from ... to ..., a little extra effort on the part of the reader is well worth it.
It should be noted that there are two editions of this text. The latest edition (1993; 193 Pages) reprints the earlier publication and adds approximately 130 pages of generic 'how to' information regarding sellection and care of a dog. The actual information concerning deerhounds represents approximately 50 pages. It is limited at best and can also be found upon the national club's and various breeders' websites. The book does include numerous photos however they don't add support to the written information in most cases.
If specific information regarding this breed that you require, I recommend that you keep looking. If on the other hand, you want just the 'basics' along with some nice photos then its probably worth acquiring for a relatively low price.
