3.0 out of 5 stars Roads to the Isles, guessing at 3 stars, November 2, 2003
By
This review is from: Scottish Highland Vol.05:Roads to the [VHS] (VHS Tape)
I have Vol. 8 of this series, Oban & Argyll, which seems as if it is the work of an advanced amateur with professional equipment, the video has a homey, relaxed feel as it glides through the area covered. The scenery is beautiful.
The format of this 1 hour long video is to present the scenes without voice over, just music playing and briefly the name appears. After going through, some of the sites are then revisited with narration about history and so forth: This was intentional so that you could watch it over and over without being distracted by narration, and that probably best describes the style: Relaxing.
BUT I have not seen this video, however I can provide more information about this from some research I did: a 57 minute video titled Roads to the Isles covers the following areas: Arisaig, Ballachulish, Bridge of Orchy, Crianlarich, Drumnadrochit, Fort William, Fort Augustus, Gairlochy, Glenfinnan, Glen Nevis, Invermoriston, Inverness, Inverie, Kinlochleven, Knoydart, Lochailort, Loch Lomond, Loch Ness, Luss, Mallaig, Onich, Rannoch Moor, Spean Bridge, Tyndrum, Urquhart Castle, If you are going to travel to any of these areas I would recommend the video based on the one I had.
I hope this helps.
