3.0 out of 5 stars North-West highlands, November 2, 2003
By
This review is from: Scottish Highland Vol.09 [VHS] (VHS Tape)
I have Vol. 8 of this series, Oban & Argyll, which seems to be the work of an advanced amateur with professional equipment; that video has a homey, relaxed feel as it glides through the Oban & Argyll section of Western Scotland. The scenery is beautiful.
The format of that video is to present the scenes without voice over, just music playing and briefly the name appears. After going through, some of the sites are then revisited with narration about history and so forth: This was intentional so that you could watch it over and over without being distracted by narration, and that probably best describes the style: Relaxing.
BUT I have not seen this video, however I can provide more information about this from research I did before I bought #8; this is a a 44 minute video on the North-West highlands and islands of Scotalnd. The areas covered are Achmelvich, Ardvreck Castle, Cape Wrath Lighthouse, Clashnessie, Drumbeg, Durness, Elphin, Inchnadamph, Inverkirkaig, Kinlochbervie, lochinver, Loch Glencould, Old man of Stoer, Rhiconich, Scourie, Smoo Caves, & Ullapool. If your are planning a trip to this part of Scotland I would recommend this video based on my experience with #8, which as videos go is a 3 or 4 star.
I hope this helps
