A truely moving C.D.!,

This review is from: Scottish Moods (Audio CD)
Having been born and bred in Scotland it has become second nature to recognise the quality and acurate tone achieved in David Methven's pipe playing. I found the CD very enjoyable to listen to and the tunes were very moving. Since the CD is titled, "The Lone Piper" in Scotland, I found the mood and atmosphere that was created reflects remarkably with David. (A personal friend of mine.) For anybody that is involed in piping or for anybody that enjoys the music- this CD is recommended. Fortunately, I have the opportunity to listen to his fine quality playing several times a week and every performance makes me proud to be Scottish! Best of luck David, and also to the Munroes!

scottish moods,

The world is divided (not equally) into two groups of people: Those who HATE bagpipe music, and those who APPRECIATE and LOVE it! If you are in the group who loves the music of the "pipes", you will enjoy this selection. This "unique" music belongs at funerals, weddings, anniversaries, wars and anything Scottish. However, after listening to the "pipes", you may want to go to war~~~even if there isn't one going on! (That's the only drawback!)How can anyone not be inspired by the glorious and sometimes melancholy music of the "pipes" and, like Sean Connery yearn for Scottish Independence?
