About the Author
G. W. Lockhart, an expert on Scottish music, dance and dress, has written two books (Highland Balls and Village Halls and Fiddles and Folk: A Celebration of the Re-emergence of Scotland’s Musical Heritage) on the subject. He has also written On the Trail of Robert Service, Scots and Their Fish, and Scots and Their Oats. As well, he is leader of Scottish dance band Quern and a familiar figure at Scottish music and dance events.

Not exactly what you may need,

I was a little disappointed in the book. I thought that it would give me ideas of Scottish traditions that I could incorporate into my upcoming wedding. However, the book was more about wedding planning in general and less about Scottish traditions. It did give me some ideas and reminders on things to do for my ceremony and reception, but not a whole lot on how to make my wedding more traditionally Scottish.
