Unique combination of Scotts high performance seed, premium continuous release fertilizer and Scotts super-absorbent growing material. Growing material absorbs water and expands to surround and protect seed from drying out and dying out. Fertilizer releases over time to ensure quick establishment and long term feeding. Don't know when to water? EZ Seed tells you. When the growing material turns light brown, it's time to water. The rigid container and unique applicator makes the job easy as it spreads seed evenly. EZ Seed is kid and pet friendly and is made from 96% of renewable materials and is 99.9% biodegradable 3.75 lb jug.

Amazon Verified Purchase
Followed directions to the letter but this seed did well in sunny areas but did not grow at all in shady areas. EZ to use but did not deliver as promised. Would not purchase again.

Commercial is miss leading showing you pile the contents onto a small area. The directions say you can spread to 1/8 inch thick. After three weeks, NO grass. Don't waste your money

I have a heavily shaded front lawn and since we moved in last summer I've struggled with thickening it up. I was skeptical of this product and tried the 4lb jug. I found it difficult to spread 1/16-1/8" thick layer as suggested so I did a little thicker, using the entire package over a roughly 3x5 foot area. And I was AMAZED at the results. Keeping it wet as directed I developed a very thick 3x5 foot area of grass! I've since purchased more and in greater quantities to fill in the thinner patches in my yard. This product is very easy to use. And as a nurse I get too worn out to mess around with yard stuff so this product is perfect for me. Scott's has a no-hassle guarantee so there's no risk in trying it out on your yard. I highly recommend!

doesn't work
I bought 5 jugs of this stuff and did not get even one blade of grass. I applied it as directed, watered it, and no grass. What a lot of money for something that does not work!
