I purchased the EZ seed from Scotts to repair some damaged spots I had in my lawn from seeds not taking, from the kids playing in certain areas of the yard that left the lawn looking pretty awful and from those areas of the lawn that are exposed to other elements of nature that leave the lawn dead. I applied the EZ seed which contains the mulch, seed and fertilizer and watered. When the EZ seed turns a browish color you add more water and in about one months time you will have a greener and more dense lawn. You will be pleased with the results as much as I was when I first used it.

Giving this product 1 star is too high for me. DO NOT buy this product. I tried this last year (2010); the grass grew in perfectly -I was so pleased. Then, all of a sudden, it all turned brown and died. I thought I had done something wrong since it had grown in so nicely. Thinking it was me, I tried again this year (2011). Once again, the grass grew in perfectly. I followed all instructions to the tee and thought for sure I would be happy. Once again, everything turned brown and died. Looking at my lawn you can see where the EZ Seed was used. Not only did it die and turn brown within weeks, it has left bare spots where nothing grows. It literally left scars on my lawn. I have healthy soil and take pride in my yard and lawn. I will be submitting my receipts for a full refund to Scott's. This is expensive stuff and I feel they are taking advantage of consumers with a product that doesn't work. Please, save your money and do not purchase this product. In fact, it is my opinion, it should be taken off the market. Check out Scott's own website and read the reviews there as well.
