A great book to have on your coffee table! Sometimes the simple books make the best for reading and this one fits the bill. The twelve values of the Scout Law are really put into perspective in the way Mr. Flaherty has organized these famous quotes. This really is a nice little book to stuff in your suitcase, backpack or glovebox. I've given copies out to my family members and they in turn have purchased gift copies for their friends.

I bought this book to get some quotes to use at my son's Eagle Court of Honor. Excellent resource, not only for scouting, but also for character education!!!

Mr. Flaherty has captured the very essence of what Scouting is all about. He has used his extensive Scouting experience to put in writing many thought provoking and easy to remember core values.

He has found a way to look at our heritage and use quality quotes from the past to enhance our everyday lives. I find this book a must read for all young men. Great item to keep by the nightstand for future reference and reflection.

This is the place for a quick "Scoutmaster's Minute." Packed with great quotes that are great for life as well as scouts.

A Scout is....Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean, and Reverent.

If these words mean as much to you as they do to me after going through Scouts, then this book is for you. It has quotes that hold true to each part of the Scout Law, and at least for me reminded me of what it was to be a Scout. Congratulations Mr. Flaherty, you have put together a wonderful book that through the use of quotes from the past and present shows what the Scout Law stands for.

Having worked hard and acheived the honor of my Eagle Scout Award, I believe I have come to learn what being a Boy Scout truly means. This book captures that with its quotes. Boys Scouts is not just about building campfires, playing games, and making friends. It's about learning lessons for life that will shape and define the person you become. The quotes in this book are based on the Scout Law and capture the essence of it through real quotes from real people in our past and present. If your looking for a book that fun and games, this is probably not for you. However, if you are looking for a book that captures the essence of what the Scout Law means, this is it. A must have for any true Scouting Enthusiast!

This book is great for adding some extra punch to scoutmaster minute talks around the campfire and it easily fits into a backpack or extra pocket.

The addition of multiple quotes along with the 12 points of the (Boy) Scout Law help to give a broader understanding of each of the 12 points. There were however some quotes which were added which did not exactly fit the particular Scout Law it was being used to expound. Overall, the book would have usefulness in teaching the Scout Laws to young scouts in a group setting such as troop meetings.

This is a great gift for a new Eagle Scout. It will be on his book shelf for the rest of his life.
