About the Author

DENNIS S. CHAPMAN, a member of a scout troop from Traverse City, Michigan, went on to get his B.S. and M.Ed. degrees from Brigham Young University. Currently, Mr. Chapman is a school teacher in Utah, and continues to be active in scouting. An avid mountain climber, the author is also a member of the Utah County Sheriff's Search and Rescue Team.
