I was disappointed when I opened the box. The game board and the tiles are made of flimsy cardboard. I was expecting hard plastic or wood tiles. Thick sturdy cardboard would have been fine too. What happened to producing quality products that will last?

This version of Scrabble is nothing more than copying words, not at all the angle from which I want to teach my kids, and as a result is totally static(same words over and over). Pieces are cardboard, which is far too fragile for children, for whom this is intended. Overall, a waste of money.

Scrabble Junior
I am a former teacher so I understand how important words and reading are for the educational development of children. This is definitely a creative and educational game! I like the fact that it has an easy side and a harder side so that it is appropriate for different ages of chidren. I sent two Scrabble Junior games and one large adult Scrabble game as Christmas presents to a non-biological "family" of 16 children and 7 adults living in two houses in Monrovia, Liberia located in western Africa. I am told everybody loves them. The children watch the adults play their game, and then they take turns playing the junior games. Christine Hanneman Wisconsin

This game has two ways to play, fill in the pre-written words on one side or start up a regular game on the flip side. The pre-written words side is actually more fun. It seemed like it would be too easy with the words printed on the board already, but the twist is you can only put down two pieces at a time, and they have to be placed in order. We play it with third graders and they love it. Gets kind of a low score for durability. The letters are cardboard and it is being played by kids, so we have a couple bent letters.

This product is not even worth $1. You can pick one in Dollar stores.
Dont buy this item. Cheap flimsy cardboard letters. no stand for holding the letters. No score card too. No rules and no points on the scrabble for interesting thing. Horrible one. Pls dont buy this.

This toy was a big disappointing for me. The board as well as the letter are made of flimsy cardboard. I still regret for buying this. I play scrabble with my kid on magnetic board and magnetic letters (letter size is very small though) and that was perfectly fine. The letter doesn't move and she enjoys it.
I would have avoided this.

Scrabble Junior - overly simple,

This toy seems better suited for PRE-school. Game parts are simply cardboard, and easily lost, which will make the game unusable as soon as the first letter 'tile' goes missing.

This game is a good lead-in to the real Scrabble game. The board has two sides-one is for playing Scrabble the more traditional way, and the other has words preprinted in the squares. My daughter is 5 years old, and the beginner level game with the preprinted words was just right for her. Scrabble Junior is a wonderful departure from Candyland and other early-preschool games.

Item was received in a timely manner. Enjoyable game for my five-year-old granddaughter. Letter chips are cardboard. Thought they would be made with more durable material like a Scrabble Jr. I purchased years ago for my daughter. Was surprised that I could not find this item at Walmart, Walgreens or Dollar stores. Thanks to Amazon, I found it for Christmas.

This game is not made well. No tiles, just thin cardboard letters, no stands for letters, and preprinted words on the game board. If you are a lover of Scrabble and want to share this love with your kids, just use the original version and play at their speed.
