I bought it for my wife and and I (both newbie scrappers) and it came in about two days ago! The book is fantastic. It looks at all the different possible layouts and the inspiration behind each one. Its so hard to find such a well laid out and organized book on how to scrap, that when I saw this one and realized how simple scrapping can be I was ecstatic.

If you are new or old to scrapping, this book is a must. The pictures are adorable as well...bonus!

I received my copy today and can't put it down. It is a wonderful "sketches" book for both beginners or seasoned scrapbookers. I have taken several of Hillary's classes and she is outstanding!

Hillary has such a refreshing way of using simple colors, shapes and swirls to allow your pages to look wonderful but still have the primary focus be on your photographs.

This book allows her to see her completed pages and those of some guest artists. They discuss the hows and whys of keeping your ideas simple.

This book is for those of you who wish to get a jumpstart on your albums using her simple but truly elegant designs.

If you enjoy clean lines in your scrapbooks this is the book for you. I perused it over many days just to read every word. There are many ideas that I can't wait to incorporate into my pages.

This book is fabulous and I just love Hilary's style. This book would be a great book for a brand new scrapbooker. I'm an experienced scrapbooker and loved it as well. It's broken down into different sections going from the most simple, using only cardstock to adding patterned paper and embellishments. There are good basic design principals covered in the book that can apply to any style.

While I enjoyed looking at this author's pages, I like to put more photos on the pages. The author's style gave me lots of ideas for using the products I have and her white space is inspiring! I will certainly adopt many of these layouts in a modified way. I also liked the fact that the pictures are large and very achievable.

Having recently taken up the hobby of digital scrapbooking, I've been looking for inspiration. After scanning dozens of books and magazines devoted to the craft (digital and paper varieties both, this is the one that stood out - and the only one I actually purchased. I've found myself returning again and again for ideas for laying out my pages in simple yet compelling ways. If you're a practitioner of shabby chic, look elsewhere: here we have clean lines, a few curves, and carefully selected patterned papers and embellishments - not a ribbon, torn edge, or stacked frame to be found. Perhaps one of the most useful things about this book for me is that 90% of the example pages feature boys - a real rarity in a genera which naturally lends itself to girls in frilly dresses. Hopefully I'll have one of those myself, someday, but for now I have a little boy and a niece who is decidedly more herself in jeans. But even when and if I get that frilly little girl, I expect I'll be "scraplifting" these layouts!

This book has great designs that are shown in nice, big photos. The designs are easy to both scraplift and learn from. Great book!

I ordered this book hoping it would be a good as stated. It was. It is well illustrated and gives a scrapbooker lots of great ideas.
