I do not want to put this product, from the San Francisco publisher Chronicle, down completely because I think it is very nice and I was hoping to use it for my son. However, there are not, as the official product description says, "assorted colors ribbons" in the kit, there are pink ribbons and brown ribbons. It's very pink. In fact, when I got it and looked at it and saw that there were not assorted colors, I returned it. I consider myself a liberal and open-minded person, but I do not want to create a pink scrapbook for my son. This product is appropriate for girls or for people who want their sons to grow up in a pink world. I wish the publisher would have created a green and brown, or purple and brown, or blue and brown kit, that would be less gender-specific.
