There a some great techniques within this book, but this is definately a book for a beginner. I bought it with the intention to learn new things that I might not realize, or refresh some other forgotten techniques. Very good with step by step directions and great pictures.

I like the ideas presented in this book. It will help you learn how to use your supplies in a different way. Also, a number of layouts are presented that are easy to do, look nice, and don't require a lot of time. I have just looked at them and have not tried them yet. I like the 50 secrets that are presented.

Ideas shown here should be useful for any scrapbooker.

This is a good book if you're just starting out with scrapbooking. It gives some great tips for creating a balanced layout, using patterned paper effectively & choosing the correct ink for a particular surface. Most of that information would be familiar to you if you've ever had a subscription to a papercrafting magazine, and are addressed in more detail in other books (Playing with Paper: Innovative Ideas for Using Patterned Papers in Your Scrapbooks, Focal Point: New Page Ideas and Techniques to Showcase Your Favorite Photos, Creating Keepsakes: You've Got Flair! Creative Scrapbook Techniques (Leisure Arts Item #4294)). If you're an experienced scrapbooker, the most useful chapter will be the last one. A number of those are shortcuts I plan to try, and I did appreciate the tips on how to change lesser used sticker letters into the letters I always run out of first. Overall though, I'd recommend this for someone looking to start scrapbooking, but not for a more advanced scrapbooker.
