Review

...an excellent source of information for the prospective, new, or experienced scrapbook business owner. Wonderful tips and guidelines... -- Dane Ann Clark, The Scrapbook Connection

About the Author

With many years experience in both scrapbooking and business, Kathy Steligo's advice and insight are practical and encouraging. She did extensive research for The Scrapbooker's Business Guide, speaking with scrappers who actually make their living in each of the nine different businesses discussed in the book. When she first began researching issues for the book, she quickly found that, although scrapbooking is the fastest growing craft/hobby industry in America, no one seemed to have any statistics concerning start-up costs, potential income, and other critical issues. So Kathy's publishing company, Carlo Press, sponsored The National Scrapbook Surveys to gain a realistic answers to the quetsoins scrappers always ask when they consider transforming their passion into profits.

The Scrapbooker's Guide to Business - What you need to know BEFORE you invest. A very helpful and straightforward book that discusses in full detail 9 different types of business plans and opportunities for making money doing something you love--scrapbooking. I also found this to be a good general business book that gives good insight in to developing business plans. There was also a lot of online references on where to get free information and sites to visit. This book gave me a whole new perspective on the industry and helped me redefine my goals as an independent scrapbook consultant who sells items on ebay (user name ktscrapbooklady). Thanks for the great book!
