I purchased this book because of the reviews . . . none of which mentioned that she uses MOSTLY black and white photographs in her layouts! As ALL sacrapbookers have been taught, black and white photo layouts are done VERY differently then Color photo layouts! I was dissapointed even though I picked up a few GREAT tips!

If you do ONLY or Mostly Black and White Photography and like simple layouts this is the book for you!

I am new to scrapbooking and got a number of books out of my local library and this was by far the best as far as design elements go. I find some scrapping a little too cute and contrived for my taste. Although this book is strictly for baby memory books the design elements can be used in any type of scrapping. The other reviewer's comments about B/W refer not to the photos of projects which are all in color but to the B/W photos used IN the projects. I really like the looks she achieved ---in fact her B/W pages were among my favorites. The photography is exquisite. The author does a good job of allowing the photos to speak for themselves and not to overdo the additional elements.


I highly recommend this book from an artistic and graphic perspective. My only (minor)criticism is that I would have liked the particular font and product listed for each project.

I like this book so much I may order a copy because there are just so many good ideas!
