Book Description

March 28, 2006

It’s the start of something big! This eye-opening guide to inking is the first in a brand-new series that will focus closely on specific scrapbooking techniques—and help crafters reach new levels of excellence. Until now, there hasn’t been an easy way to apply ink to paper smoothly and evenly. But Carol Heppner’s innovative process—which uses polyester fiberfill for the application—results in flawless and professional results every time. She shares her superb knowledge of inks and offers ideas for creating vivid multicolored papers and patterns. With the in-depth tutorials, creative projects, and sample layouts, scrapbookers will transform their pages from ho-hum to terrific.

Carol Heppner has appeared in publications such as Belle Armoire, Somerset Studio, Expression Magazine, and Scrap & Stamp Arts. She is on the editorial advisory board of Scrap & Stamp Arts, Scott Publications, and is a design member of the Crafts and Hobby Association.

I really enjoyed this book. I sat and looked at the pictures over and over before trying any of the techniques that are shown and described in an easy to follow way. Using family [Both Human and Fuzzy family members] photos is a nice touch and makes it more personal, you are looking into Carol's life through her own pictures. This has made me look at Scrapbooking in a different way, for me before it was all about the paper I bought and spent too much on, this shows more how to make the pictures be "the stars" and not so much the paper but yet the paper looks real good too so it's the best of both worlds. If you want a book that will show you how to do some simple techniques to make your scrapbooks look unique I recommend this one and give it and Carol 5 stars.
