Ivan has been a favorite of mine since "Ancestors", so when I saw he had a new CD coming out, I knew I had to have it. Once I got it home and listened to the first track, I realized I'd been had. This release is the same as 2002's "Saturday Morning Music," with a live version of What You Want From Me added. If you already have that release, save your money. Otherwise, purchase either disc because the music is exceptional.

Classic Soulful Ivan, January 20, 2004

This release finds Ivan grooving on some great tunes. There's no pop single like "Just another girl", but it's a good complete release with some soulful singing, solid playing and classic Ivan. Don't get too excited as the CD is more mellow than you'd think, but tracks like Ghetto Street stick with you like the sound of Professor Longhair piano riffs... Improve your CD collection and add this one to it. It'll stay in the player longer than you think.
