Really, really good soundtrack,
By A Customer
This review is from: Scream 3 (2000 Film) (Audio CD)
This CD is one of the best soundtracks I've heard in a long time, and Scott Stapp did a great job of producing it. Every song on it is awesome-it has a lot of big names, plus some other less known bands who will hopefully gain the recognition that they deserve. The only song that was somewhat disppointing was American Pearl's "Automatic"; but even still, every song is good. It's all rock music, but there's a lot of variety. Also, Creed's new song "Is This the End" is one of my favorite songs on the CD, along with Slipknot, System of a Down, Incubus, and Finger Eleven. Creed is one of the best bands out right now, and they have a lot of talent, as do all of the bands on the soundtrack. The whole thing is just awesome, and I highly recommend you get it, because you won't be disappointed.

Dudes, this cd kicks. I was curious how all the artists would compliment each other on this disk, and I must confess, they blend together extrememly well. Artists like Slipknot, Creed, Static X, Fuel, and Incubus make this a must-have cd. My personal favorite is "Spiders" by System of a Down. The song is amazing in it's own rights. It starts out with a haunting guitar riff and the beautiful voice of the lead singer. I love it. Plus, the video is positively freaky. Another plus side. Don't ask how the song fits into the movie; I don't think that matters. In fact, none of the songs have anything to do with Scream 3; it's just an excuse to get some major arse kickin talent together and make one badass cd. Creed did an excellent job of compiling the artists and producing the album. So, if you like industrial rock, alternative rock, or just really like good music by some old talent--or new talent in American Pearl's case--this is THE cd for you. You will not be disappointed. If you are, just yell at me. But I guarantee it, this will become an instant favorite. Oh, yeah, Slipknot rules!

This is an amazing soundtrack, with some of the best metal and hardcore bands out there today. However, if you're a big fan of this genre of music, then you probably have most of these songs on cd already, because the majority of them aren't new tunes. That's the only reason it gets 4 stars...I would just liked to have seen more new stuff by all these great artists, because the songs that ARE new are amazing, and totally worth buying the album just for them alone. And even if you're not a fan of Creed, you must admit they did a pretty damn good job of putting all these artists onto one album. Personal faves of mine are the songs by Finger Eleven, Incubus, SOAD, Static-X, Slipknot, Powerman5000, and Full Devil Jacket. So, if you have most of these artists on cd already, buy this soundtrack anyway, because the un-released material is worth every cent, and if you don't have most of these artists on cd, then you're missing a whole lot of talent, so AT LEAST add this one to your collection. You definitely won't regret it.

when i first bought this album i really wasnt so sure about too many of the songs on here because honestly i hadn't liked or even heard of some of the bands on here. I wanted it basically for Slipknot's "Wait and Bleed" which i had heard on the radio alot, Creed"s "What If?" and The Godsmack, Fuel, and Powerman 5000 songs. What i got was a cd with only one really bad song on it, the rest are just pure rock/metal. The only mistake has to be Ear2000 because...........well you get the point! The Best songs here are Finger Eleven's "Suffocate", Slipknot "Wait and Bleed",Fuel "Sunburn", Sevendust "Fall", Coal Chamber "Tyler's Song" and Static-X "So Real". 5 Stars which makes me wish Wes Craven would stop all this bull, make another Scream just for the soundtrack.

I bought the soundtrack when it first came out--eager to get my hands on any "Scream"- related material. It contains some great tracks. Both Creed songs ("What If," "Is This the End") are fantasic as is Fuel's "Sunburn." However, most of the rest of the CD is only OK. None of remaining songs really catch my attention, and personally, I'm mad that "Red Right Hand 2" was not included. All in all, it's a good CD that runs a bit too long (at 70+ minutes) and contains a lot of filler, but I would recommend it to fans of Creed and those who want another piece of "Scream 3."

Really good album front to back. Nice to listen to 17 different styles of music from a lot of great bands. This should be enough good music to hold most fans over until Metallica releases their new album later this year. This CD also has one of coolest covers ever. Its in 3D and can be rotated to show two different pictures. This is the one they we will be talking about 10 years from now as one of the all time greatest soundtracks. Awesome bands such as Creed, Godsmack, Fuel, System of a Down, Slipknot, Coal Chamber, Sevendust, and Stained.

Huge influence on my musical taste,

As strange as it is, this album influenced me more than any other cd I've ever bought and this is based in large part on timing. I was your typically sheltered, homeschooled, christian child, but as I hit puberty and needed an outlet for my rage, I tried to turn to music. However, my mother wouldn't let me get many of the cds I wanted because of song titles or explicit content stickers. Somehow, this cd slipped past her censorship and thus my exposure to hard rock began. Some might say bad about these bands, or even some of these songs. But I will tell you this, they were a godsend (oh the irony) to a kid just developing, and because I was able to listen to these and release, I and those around me became the better for it. I ended up buying or somehow getting my hands on cds from almost all of these bands, and I still listen to a lot of them to this day. A strange story, I suppose, but true.

I rate a lot of CD's high I know. But SCREAM 3 deserves it. First and foremost, "Suffocate" by Finger Eleven. That sells the CD right there, amazing hard rock song. Incubus "Crowded Elevator", Sevendust "Fall", Creed "Is This The End" and "What If", System "Spiders", Fuel "Sunburn", Orgy "Dissention" (one of the original reasons I bought the album), Staind "Crawl", all essential tracks that just plain already make this a great rock album. That's not the only good stuff on here. American Pearl "Automatic" is a surprisingly good song, Slipknot "Wait And Bleed", even Static X "So Real" isn't that bad. Dope "Debonaire" is on the edge, but still leans toward being a pretty good song. "Tyler's Song" by Coal Chamber's not bad, although I am not a CC fan. The rest is eh, but that's not many "eh" songs. Good stuff.
