3.0 out of 5 stars This book is HOT!
3.5 stars. I read this on a rainy Saturday. This is a two-part book - the first half is about Leila and Brandan; the second half focuses on Danitra and Hawk. I preferred the first half but both couples were very hot. This is full of steamy sexual encounters. If you're looking for a quick, fun, sexy read this definitely fits the bill.

5.0 out of 5 stars Deliciously Erotic!, June 13, 2009
This review is from: Scream My Name (Paperback)
Lelia James and her aunt Sadie were the proud owners of a popular café. The plans to expand it came to a halt when Sadie passed away. Lelia now runs the café herself, and it is a labor of love. But Lelia runs into some problems when some developers want the land that her café sits on. She promises not to go down without a fight, until she meets one of the developers face to face. Brandan Walters is a successful businessman that usually gets what he wants. He wants Lelia's land, but somewhere along the way he ends up wanting something more valuable: her. Will Brandan and Lelia be able to put aside their differences and let their passions ignite? Hawk is like a brother to Lelia and also helps out at the café. Hawk has spent his life keeping his emotions in check, until he becomes smitten with Danita. Danita is Lelia's friend that's also a regular at the café. Danita notices Hawk from afar, but when he makes his intentions known, will she give him the time of day?

Scream My Name is a deliciously erotic novel by Kimberly Kaye Terry. Terry expertly crafted two romantic stories into one book, but they do not read like two short stories. Both stories seamlessly run right into each other. You can see how the feelings gradually develop with these two couples. You feel the underlying current of passion between Lelia and Brandan, and the uncertainty between Danita and Hawk. Readers will find a strong connection to the characters in this book. There are also some humorous moments in this story that will have you laughing out loud. This novel would not be complete without plenty of steamy sex to whet your appetite. Scream My Name is full of raw eroticism, emotional drama, and humorous dialogue that will satisfy Kimberly Kaye Terry's fans old and new.

Although the land developer are offering the tentants 5 times the asking price they are all ready to sign the only person that is holding out is Lelia.

Lelia and the developer have been going back and forth with each other through email and phone call it is at the point where they are having HOT fantasy about each other. Now mind you they have not met YET.

Lelia is on her way to a very important meeting and you all know Murphy's Law and Leila was having one of those day everything was going wrong. Once she got to the building where the meeting is being held she finds out that person she is suppose to meet with has left. Once she turn around she one of the finest man walk through the door coming toward her and the guard desk. As the man is walking is notice this tall, woman with legs to die for. Once he make it to the guard desk they both are looking and not saying anything to each other. He nod as his way of speaking and continue to talk to both of the guard which by the way their name is Charlie.........lol

Once Lelia turn her back as if she was leaving she hear the guy say good bye to Branden Walter. Althought Lelia realize she has heard that name some where she remember he and his parnter has been sending her letter offering to buy her property. This is the beginning of their relationship.

Lelia is stubborn and determined to get her cafe so much so she is trying to start a petition to secure her property is a historial landmark which she hope will stop the developer. Lelia to take the bull by the horn and meet Branden face to fact little do she know that once she bust into his office she not only meet Branden but his partner as well.

From the moment these two meet there is nothing but intense attraction between them and neither one knows why. Branden is a dominate man he wants what he want when he want it and it Lelia challenge him on all turn. I tell you they bring out the best and worst in each other but boy when I tell you he make her scream his name several, several time.

Lelia aunt also adopted a boy name HAWK..........and yes he lives up to that name. Hawk & Danita is another story that Kim has given her reading and this is nothing short but good. Hawk & Branden each has issue they need to overcome but with the love of their live they do. You will see how Branden came take you from angry to love with Lelia and you will find out why Hawk would do whatever his woman what to make her happy.

Know this these guy are TALL, HANDSOME AND STRONG MEN AND WHEN THEY FELL THEY FELL HARD. THEY BOTH GIVE THERE WOMEN JUST WHAT THEY WANT AND YOU CAN HERE THEM SCREAM THERE NAME.....................

PURCHASE THE BOOK YOU ARE GOING TO LOVE IT.

3.0 out of 5 stars Hawk's Story Saves The Day, June 14, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Scream My Name (Paperback)
First off, I've read 4 of Ms Terry's books and one novella. She is a joy to read, and up until this latest offering, she has not disappointed. I'm not sure why the first part of the book, Leila and Brandan's story, fell absolutely flat for me. Some aspects were totally unrealistic to me, and that turns me off of a book--even fiction has to be believable. One really bright spot that had me hooting were the couple of segments involving the DJ, Carmelicious!

I was pleasantly surprised when I found that the last 100 pages of the book focused entirely on Danita & Hawk's (BW/NAM) story. I really wish their story had been the focal point, or even better, I wish the entire book had been devoted solely to Hawk, his life on the streets before Auntie Sadie found him, through his meeting and falling in love with Danita. I would have liked to know more about Danita's life too--about her insecurities, about the things that shaped her personality. There was so much rich material that could have been fleshed out in telling their story. I thought this story line was much sexier and very tender. I did not like the ménage à trois encounter (I don't like them generally); however, for those who enjoy that particular type of eroticism, I'm sure this will be a great unexpected treat. I thought it was done quite well.

So, the last 100 pages, Hawk & Danita's story, saved this book, and for that, I'm glad I decided to go ahead and finish it. One mediocre book does not a bad writer make. Ms. Terry is a very talented writer, and I'm still waiting to buy her next book that's due out in August.

5.0 out of 5 stars Scream My Name, September 16, 2009
This review is from: Scream My Name (Paperback)
Leila James's café is the last connection she has to her Great Aunt Sadie, a special woman who raised her and was a source of wisdom until the day she died. Selling the café she spent her childhood in is just not an option and no matter what offer Brandan Walters puts on the table the answer is still no. So why she ignites as soon as she lays eyes on her nemesis, the man she's been volleying back and forth over email for months she can't answer.

Brandan Walters is a self made man, rich, intelligent and deeply in lust with Leila. Being randy doesn't even begin to describe his uncontrollable passion towards the sexy business owner who just doesn't understand the silly café she's holding onto is already lost.

Leila and Brandan will find out they both have a lot to learn when it comes to matters of the heart and sometimes you just need a little compromise to experience the best love of all.

Scorching orgasms and explosive relationships are just a couple of reasons Scream My Name had my heart pumping from beginning to end. Brandan and Leila were not only hot but actually pretty cute together as they attempted to work through their business issues while still exploring the chemistry threatening to burn them alive. One super plus in Scream My Name is Kimberly Kaye Terry also gave us a bonus story about Hawk, Leila's childhood friend and Danita a frequent customer to Aunt Sadie's café. Hawk and Danita were more erotic but the immediate connection between two complimentary spirits was evident from first glance. As a reader the extra bonus really hit the spot, not one but two smoking hot love stories for the price of one will ensure I keep an eye out for Kimberly Kaye Terry's upcoming releases.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not What I Expected, September 8, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Scream My Name (Kindle Edition)
I have read quite a few of Ms. Terry's other books, and found them enjoyable. While this one is not unenjoyable, it is not what I expected. The initial story regarding an unlikely romance between a property developer, and a cafe owner, was cute and sexy. But, then that story was left unfinished, in my opinion, to begin another story about the cafe owner's longtime friend Hawk, and Danita. Had I known this was really two short stories in one I probably would not have purchased it, even though the stories were decent.

5.0 out of 5 stars two interesting erotic romances, April 11, 2009
This review is from: Scream My Name (Paperback)
"Leila". In San Antonio Developer Brandan Walters has a plan for the neighborhood that is coming close to fruition. Only Aunt Sadie's Café stands in the way of him and his partners beginning the renovation. However, obstinate Leila James refuses to sell her dive. Brandon mounts a campaign with Leila's neighbors to pressure her to sell her café. Her stress goes to the stratosphere, but she knows part of her tension is her seditious hormones that find her enemy attractive. Brandon understands how she feels as he wants to throttle and kiss Leila.

"Danita". Six months later in San Antonio, Psychologist Danita Adams has a social life that's the definition of boring. She would like to meet someone even for a short fling even as she knows she wallows in self pity. That is until she meets Jarred "Hawk" Wikvaya at Aunt Sadie's Café where he was their waiter filling in for his friend Leila.

These are two interesting erotic romances center around a development project in which Aunt Sadie's Café is the only remaining stumbling block. Danita's tale references Leila's entry adding to the overall inter-connectivity between the characters as the second story is a direct sequel to the first. Kimberly Kate Terry heats up the River Walk with these enjoyable novellas.

2.0 out of 5 stars Scream my name?, July 14, 2009
This review is from: Scream My Name (Paperback)
First, the title of this book has nothing to do with the storyline. I was disappointed in this book because it lacked romance. Having hot sex is not romance. I'm not a writer but if Ms. Terry change the sequence of events, for instance having the main characters develop a relationship, fall in love and then the HOT sex it would have been a better read. I wanted to read more about Leila and Brandan characters. I thought their story was cut short because of Danita story. There is one thing that I TRULY appreciated was that Leila was not the typical heroine you read in IR books, light-skinned with long hair down her back and hazel eyes. Leila had locs, thanks Ms. Terry.
