I've been a fan of Sum 41 since back in the days of Half Hour of Power and All Killer, No Filler. This album is a bit different than Sum's previous offerings, but ranks right up there with my favorite albums - Underclass Hero and Chuck.

The only weak song is the last one - Exit Song - but the rest are outstanding.

In a nutshell, if you like Sum 41 then you're probably going to enjoy this album. If you're strictly a fan of the "old stuff" then maybe it won't be your cup of tea. But in my opinion, for $6 this isn't something to pass up.

I've had this album for 5 months now and I still listen regularly. What I like about Sum 41's music is emotion. You can just feel the emotion from their songs. This album is no different. This is one of those albums where you don't particularly have a favorite song or two; I just enjoy listening to the entire album. Actually, maybe Happiness Machine is my favorite. :) The way they wrote the songs are a little different; not your typical Verse1, Chorus, Verse2, Chorus, Bridge, Chorus formula. (Reminds me a little bit of Linkin Park's A Thousand Suns.) It's fresh yet it still has the same important element as with their previous albums: emotion!

I have 4 other sum 41 albums, this one is good, song writing is solid. He has some power metal ballads on the album and some hurt after the divorce from avril songs. Between this new album and her new album both released in late March 2011, you can tell they are really good at writing songs. whether the songs be true about their relationship or are exaggerations according to Avril, Derek is still good at what he does. on first listen you'll say ok, but after you listen to it a handful of times, all the songs grow on you and show you that his next album should be really good, because he's worked through all the pain. my favorite album is still the one before screaming bloody murder, underclass hero - however all killer and no filler and chuck are also - solid! just a shame he doesn't get more airplay, but his songs do pop up in movies.
