Screeching Weasel has been one of my favorite band for years. Probally the only other bands I've listened to longer was Greenday and The Queers. S.W were around for a long time, from 1987-88,91-01. They released so many great pop-punk records. My Brain Hurts and Bark Like a Dog are their best. This record is really not that bad, honest. The first 27 songs are their bebut album. There loud and fast. Most of songs are only like 45 seconds long. All the songs pretty much sound the same. These songs are what you expect for a 19 year-old to write about. The tracks 28-39 are demo's from their next record boogodaboogadaboogada!

it seams alot of people are not that into screeching weasels Debut, i personally think it's one of their best, right along with boogadaboogadaboogada!.. what more could you want? this stuff is fun and catchy! raw and fast! not some polished turd! .. some good old fashioned stuff here! buy it if you like punk and oldschool hardcore, when hardcore was punky, not metal! ...i enjoy this and their second album far more than the more polished pop sound that they ended up stearing taward. don't get me wrong, i also enjoy pop punk, bubblegum punk, etc. i guess the point of all this is, screeching weasel is awesome! go buy all their stuff. but if you want raw and fast get this!

As much as I love S.W., I can't in good conscience allow anyone to buy this album thinking that there will be GOOD music on it. If you're a collector, go ahead. Otherwise, the only song worth having is "Murder in the Brady House", and you can hear a MUCH better version on THE QUEERS' "Later Days and Better Lays".
