My tv is only 6 months old - this problem started couple of weeks ago - screen goes green first then black and I can not turn the tv off - blinking red light led power light is on. This issue is intermittent - tv works fine for few days and the same issue occurs again. Any advise will be much appreciated.
I have the same model tv as you... first it would take a long time to power up and now it doesnt get a picture whatsoever, just the blinking red light. Two options I've isolated it to are HDMI switching security issue with my home theater that locks my tv and the faulty power managment described here. Apparently you can buy the replacement capacitors at radio shack for under 20 bucks and solder them on yourself if when you unscrew the back panel you find puffed-out capacitors (blown). I guess there's supposed to be 4 capacitors on this model.
Recently my 47" LG LCD TV started acting up. No sooner than a month passed and my TV was pronounce useless. All I got when I pressed ON was a black screen and a red power light flashing. The red power LeD would stay blinking forever until I pressed OFF and then it would stay a solid red like most electronics these days. So I made a few phone calls and did a quick research online and found out that it would cost over $500 to fix my TV which just so happened to be a month after my warranty expired. I did some more reasearch and realized I can fix it myself for under $30. The problem with my LG was the capacitors. A quick opening of the back panel will show you if this your problem. I made a tutorial video on how I did it. Check out the video on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EbGiXqBAvvo
Samsung LN32B360 32-Inch 720p LCD HDTV: Those who have this blinking red light problem, do you have this model: LN32B360 32-Inch 720p LCD HDTV? I just talked to someone at Samsung who said I don't qualify for the free fix to the capacitor problem because Samsung only recognizes that problem in the C model, not the B. Of course, my TV is out of warranty!
