I bought this screen protector after I got small scratch on my Touch 2G, thinking it would protect it from furture scratches.

When I opened the package I was impressed because they give you a cleaning cloth to clean the screen before you apply the protecter, a small card to get rid of air bubbles, and decent instructions.

Now on to the applicating procces. You're supposed to clean your ipod screen, line it up, put it on, and get rid of air the bubbles. What they don't tell you is that if you don't get it on perfectly the first time, it's junk. After you take it off after the first try, every little piece of dust, dog hair, and cat hair stick, and are nearly impossible to get off. They also make more air bubbles, which are also difficult to get off, even with the card they provide for you.

I'm still trying to work it out, but I think all hopes are lost. Save your money. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.

Wow, this thing didn't stick to my iPod and when I went to remove the top layer film, it pulled the whole thing off the iPod. What a waste. Honestly, I've given up on the screen protector. The iPod 2G has a glass screen which is highly durable.

Don't wast your money on this screen protector. If you are going to get one, get the crystal film one... at least it works.

THIS PRODUCT IS WORTHLESS...when I tried to apply it to my i-touch it pulled the screen ITSELF up and somehow put air bubbles UNDERNEATH my screen. Now it looks like I have PERPETUAL WATER DROPS ON MY ITOUCH and there is NO way to get rid of it. NEVER WASTE A PENNY ON THIS PRODUCT, it has COMPLETELY ruined my i-touch and I have NEVER been so displeased with a product in my ENTIRE LIFE

Firstly:
The screen protector comes with two sticker tabs attached, to aid in aligning the protector with the screen. This worked well. This protector easily aligned. However, removing the sticker tabs themselves left a mess of paper and glue residue on the protector, smugging it up terribly. Attempts to clean the glue residue off resulted in it spreading to cover about 1/4 of the screen, without actually cleaning anything, and in a wasted 30 minutes of my time. It took about two days of use before the glue simply wore off from use.

Secondly:
The screen bubbles up around the edges, and refuses to stick. Fortunately, my iPod Touch also has a plastic case (covers everything but the home button and the screen itself), which keeps the protector secure. If you don't have a case, you can expect the protector to start sliding loose within about two days.

Thirdly:
The screen protector can't even protect itself. Attempts to remove the initial glue residue left 1/4 of the protector severely scratched, creating a noticeable glare effect. Within three days, the protector has been completely covered in scratches, many of which are clearly visible while the screen is displaying an image. I have owned my watch for several months (eight, maybe?), and to protect its screen, I simply laid some packaging tape over it, then etched out the correct shape with a sewing pin. I've replaced that tape once in the time I've owned this watch, and it's worked perfectly. It didn't cost $5 either.

(Note: I did not use packaging tape on the iPod Touch since it is near impossible to get a large piece of clean packaging tape. The stuff often has smears and smudges on it to begin with, especially if you pull it off the roll slowly. It only works well with smaller applications.)

First of all, lets be clear on what this is: This product is a super-thin layer of transparent plastic film that applies directly to the surface of your iPod Touch / iPhone via electrostatic/dispersive adhesion (it is not a "sticker" or anything like that and does not apply any residue to your iPod/iPhone). I used it for my iPod Touch 2G; the glass of the iPod Touch 2G is actually quite durable and scratch resistant to begin with - adding a thin layer of screen protection was mostly done to increase the puncture resistance of the screen.

The application of the screen to your iPod / iPhone is a very simple process, but not necessarily easy. That is, in theory all you have to do is clean off your iPod's screen with the cleaning cloth provided, remove one side of the protector and lay it down on the iPod screen surface, aligning it exactly. Then simply remove the other side of the protector and voila, screen protector added.

In practice, it is slightly more challenging. Aligning the protector to the iPod screen can be frustrating. My screen is not perfectly aligned but close enough so that I do not care. Now that I've done it once I feel confident, should I choose to do it again, that I could align it nearly perfectly the next time. Also, it takes some degree of skill to apply the screen without having any air bubbles. If you do it correctly, this screen is a PERFECT fit and you will have ZERO air bubbles. This was fairly simple for me but I can see why others might have some difficulty with it.

This product is extremely cheap and comes exactly as described. In fact, I was pleasantly surprised to find they provided a cleaning cloth, and that the application of the protector was quite logical and effective - not unlike the process of applying a band-aid to a wound in a way such that would avoid you having to come in contact with the sticky ends of the band-aid and thus render them less effective. If you feel that you need practice in applying the screen, just buy two (it's only another $1.77) - you can practice with the first one and if you fail you always have a backup.

I bought this product for my new iTouch 2G and after a few screen protectors, this one is by far the best one I've purchased.

The reason being is that there were no air bubbles! (at least for me) when I applied the screen for the first time.

There's not much else to say about the product other then that it does what it does and is bubble-free.

I highly recommend this for anyone who has an iTouch 2G looking for a screen protector.

I first have some problem but i speak with the company and they where great.THe response my problem in time and help me in everthing.The protector is a good one and not so difficult to install but READ THE INTRUSTION.Is no the best protector on the market but for the price what else you want.
If you want to protect the ipod and dont want to spend to much money this is for you.

I am really surprised at the amount of negative reviews on this product. It is no different from any other screen protector I have purchased for any of my hand held devices, such as DS, PSP, camera, etc. It is basically the exact same thing, just cut to fit the iPod Touch. It seems to me that the people who are complaining have never applied a screen protector like this before and their problems result from their lack of following the included directions. Follow the directions, and you should have little trouble. A few tips though, wash your hands and your work space. Move any nearby items. Wear short sleeves. Avoid anything that could come into contact with the screen protector because it can and will easily pick up any particles in the area. They can be a pain to apply if not done properly and the worst thing you can do is rush the process. Cleaning everything to ensure a dust-free environment is critical. If you can handle that, you will be very pleased with the quality of these screen protectors.

I have this exact protector on my iPod Touch 3g as does my husband (see verified purchase) and we have had no issues whatsoever. They are highly durable and do very well to protect the screen from scratches. They are also so thin that you don't even realize they are on the device once in place and they don't affect the sensitivity at all. They are cut perfectly to match the shape of the iPod Touch face and they aligned perfectly with the home button as well so there is no overlapping. As an added bonus, these screen protectors make your Touch FAR less of a fingerprint magnet. I don't have to wipe it off obsessively every few minutes now. ;) I highly recommend these over the "crystal" types that are thick, rigid, have permanent residue, and reduce the sensitivity of the screen. My brother's Touch has one of these and I can't stand it. It may be thicker, but it doesn't seem to offer any more protection. They are easier to apply but the extra cost and the nasty residue and loss of sensitivity are not worth it. I'd never use any other type of screen protector on my devices. These are fantastic when used properly and worth every penny.

I can not comment on this product specifically. My husband ordered it with the one touch. A couple hours later I noticed he did but also noticed it was the wrong thing for what we need. It was too late to cancel so I sent an email to the company requesting they cancel the order, though I really didn't expect that to happen. They did! So I just wanted to give them points for great customer service.

The screen protector works find, I just wished it would cover more then just the screen cause dirt and lint get cought in the corner.
