5.0 out of 5 stars Best EP I own!
New Found Glory's second release "From the Screen to Your Stereo" is the best EP i own, simply put. with 7 songs clockin in at just over 18 minutes these 7 songs have been heard worldwide for the past 10-15 years, but...by other artists. NFG puts a punk twist on 7 songs from some great movies and some bad movies. first comes "That Thing You Do"...

3.0 out of 5 stars Right Songs, Wrong Band
Punk covers have always amused me to no end - I am a big fan of Me First and the Gimmie Gimmies. When I heard that a band called New Found Glory did punk covers of such songs as "Neverending Story" and "My Heart Will Go On" I had to buy the CD. Indeed the songs are fun, but I have some problems with the sound. For example - the lead singers voice is...

NFG puts a punk twist on 7 songs from some great movies and some bad movies. first comes "That Thing You Do" which was also the title of a so-so movie starring Tom Hanks. Then "the Neverending Story Theme" from none other then...... The Neverending Story. also there is "I dont want to miss a thing", "the glory of love" from Karate Kid, "The Goonies 'r' Good Enough", "Everything I Do (I Do It For You)" and "My Heart Will Go On" from a little movie called Titanic. Though i dont like half of the movies that these songs come from, i like every song. With great riffs, beats, and hook's this is one hell of a cd.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome!, February 27, 2002

This was my first experience with New Found Glory...Then I heard the remake of the Titanic song and decided to go get the CD. I used to hate "My Heart Will Go On" as well as Aerosmith's "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing" but when NFG does it, they are actually enjoyable. The rest of the seven songs are all good too. I just wish there were a few more so it would last longer! Anyway, this CD is really awesome for people who like a little punk or emo in their lives. Not necessarily those who only like Blink 182, and just because they're on MTV. But people who like punk just because it rocks should definitely like this CD!

5.0 out of 5 stars Replaces the Originals, November 16, 2001

When I listened to this album, I wondered why the real versions of the songs were more popular than these are. This is by far the best album of cover songs I've ever listened to, and the songs get stuck in your head so quickly, you almost instantly forget the way the real version went. If you like NFG, Buy this album!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Covers, March 29, 2000

In a time when it seems like everyone and their uncle has some revival cover song on their CD, it's nice to finally see some choices that, in my opinion, a) needed a revival, and b) were done very well in the punk format. Last year, my award for best cover went to Machine Head's cover of Message in a Bottle by Sting. I frickin' love "A New Found Glory's" version of Glory of Love (whether or not Peter Cetera approves), and although I like the original Neverending Story better than this one, I think the point of this CD was to pay homage to some of pop cultures greatest successes in film. I haven't seen Titanic, and I still don't intend to, but I think I've gotta go check out Karate Kid 2 again.

I am so amazed that NFG can take songs that were origanally dumb and make them into such cool songs. I was a huge fan of NFG the first time I heard one of their songs. I went to their concert when they toured with Blink 182 and i think they are better that Blink. I would recommend this cd and the rest of their cds to anyone.

5.0 out of 5 stars A New Found Kind of Music, June 23, 2001

I LOVE New Found Glory! I think that they make great music! This CD proves it! They take ordinary sappy and slow songs and twist and turn them into something written for normal teenagers to listen to.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Best Punk/Emo Band In The World!!, November 7, 2000
This review is from: From the Screen to Your Stereo (Audio CD)
At first when I heard about this CD, the first thing that came to my head was, "what are they doing?" Then I heard the CD and loved the cover song for That Thing You Do. Then I went through the whole CD and loved every single track. It is a great CD. The cover songs are all done better than the orignal ones. NFG knows how to make good punk/emo. BUY THIS CD!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Go for it, this CD is a good time, January 22, 2005
This review is from: From the Screen to Your Stereo (Audio CD)
Any true fan of New Found Glory has this CD and will tell you they're hoping and praying for the day the band does another EP of cover songs. NFG takes classic easy-listening songs from movies and puts their own spin on it. The results will make you smile, rock out, tap your foot, nod your head, maybe even laugh. This CD marked the end of the raw sound and minimal production for the band. This EP wouldn't be the same if it didn't sound like it was recorded in someone's basement. Jordan's voice still sounds like he's singing in the shower, which is not to say that he sings off-key. Buy this CD, blast it in your car with the windows down, and laugh at all the people staring at you, jealous that you're having such a good time.
