5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Game To Play!
As a trekkie, I have really enjoyed playing this game because it covers a lot of Star Trek trivia. I have enjoyed buying this product because this game was much cheaper on Amazon than the other stores carrying the product in my area. Unlike some of the other Scene It games, the game pieces were made out of metal instead of plastic. Overall, it is a good value for the...

3.0 out of 5 stars Its Ok.
This game was OK. Some of the questions were extremely hard, no ridiculously hard. Other were ridiculously easy. If you know EVERY detail about EVERY episode of EVERY Star Trek series (note: not just watched them, but studied them, tested on them, and received a BS degree in Star Trek, graduating with at least a 3.5 GPA; Masters Degrees are preferred) then you will...

If you just like Star Trek and want to play a simple trivia game about it, this might be a bit advanced in questioning.

I've seen all of the Star Trek series, each of the movies, including the new one and could hardly play this game. Asking for minor character names and episode names means you've got to be a fairly serious trekker to play and get the answers the game wants. I did like the reaction-style games for tie breakers with the dvd remote though.

4.0 out of 5 stars DVD limited but trivia cards are good, December 27, 2009

The nice thing about this game is that it covers all of the Star Trek TV shows and movies. The not-so-nice thing is that the DVD doesn't have enough material on it and starts repeating the live clips sooner than we'd like. At least different questions are asked about the same live clips so that you don't have the exact same question each time you see a clip. The trivia cards are excellent - they range in difficulty from very easy to super-difficult and there are a lot of them.

I know from reading online that a lot of people actually play the board game with these Scene-It games, but I've never actually met anyone in real life who does. Everyone I know just shouts out the answers as they are shown on the DVD or read from a trivia card with no one keeping score. We have most of the Scene-it games and we tried the board game once, found it cumbersome and now just play it in sessions of either all-DVD or all-cards -- but no board/dice/moving pieces.

Basically, if you're a Star Trek fan, you'll enjoy this game and it is worth buying.

Very good challenge even for those that have watched every Star Trek. Many questions I recognized the characters, but didn't know the names. Others that don't watch the show will get bored easy though and my wife went in to just naming Captains for everything...with the majority of her answers being Cap'n Janeway. She got a couple right. We played a couple rounds with family then just clicked the Bonus Tie Breaker stuff mostly. It keeps random very well and even makes use of existing content for multiple questions. Play full game with fan friends, and bonus stuff with family and you'll have fun. Another reason I got it was just to be a collector's item too. The ships you play with are pretty cool.

My husband loves this game! It's just like other Scene It games, and I think the quality of those are nice.

The only problem is, I can't play with my husband, because I know nothing about Star Trek : )

I was very excited to see this version of Scene it come out. We had played and enjoyed other Scene it games and we love the Star Trek universe...

However...

The questions on this game are so obscure that it prevents fun. The average Star Trek viewer will be able to answer perhaps one in five questions. Questions include "What is the name of the episode from which the clip comes?" and "How does this line end?"

Do you remember the names of the episodes?

Do you remember the name of every alien race?

Do you remember how every line ends?

Do your friends?

Cause if you have one uber-nerd he's going to win. If you have no uber-nerds, nobody will win and you'll spend 30 minutes waiting at the end of the game for a question you can actually answer.

I bought this game one, because I have other Scene It games and like playing them, and two, because my fiancé is a big Star Trek fan. If you have watched all the episodes, movies, and know general Star Trek trivia, then this is the game for you. It is basically like every other Scene It, but the pieces, game board, and DVD are tailored towards Star Trek. Haven't played it many times yet, but I am sure we will have a lot of fun in the future.
